bro initialM,

Perfectly valid question. Unfortunately BMW Performance stuff is only available for E9x series at this point in time. So the parts are for the current 3 series & 1 series. But i heard BMW is planning to expand its range of BMW Perf. stuff to other models too, perhaps to E60 or other models around that generation, but i doubt they will expand the range to much older models such as E46 & E39...that's what i read & heard so far...

As there are already a lot of aftermarkets performance parts for models like E46, E39 etc. hence BMW Performance did not see the point in wanting to compete with those aftermkt suppliers, who have already been providing such parts for a good 10 years or more.

After finally realising they hv lost out a lot of mkt share to these aftermkt performance suppliers, hence the creation of BMW Performance in 2008, so that current owners hv the option of upgrading their performance, without losing the warranty!

Cheers.

errr 1 stupid Q, this BMWP brakes available for E39?

Aftermkt BBK for older model is too damn expensive & not easy to retrofit. RM6k for brand new BMWP BBK is reasonable & distinctive look.
Guess poor guy like me cannot do much wt ori part for my old junk:eek:

Bro Stanley, Just for your info I had contacted Valiant a BMW wholesaler in HKG. They quoted to me HKG Dollars 19K, so it's about RM8370 for Front and rear. For the rear the above price include modify the rear hub by adding a metal cone for our handbrake shoe to work. Courier charges and import tax not included ! Don't know Singapore can offer the same price or not??? I'm also keen to know...Maybe Bro Sharp can help and check with Eng Soon in Singapore...:top:

After thinking hard, decided to get BMW Performance Brake Kit from Stuttgart ! Went there just now, look for Adrian and straight away mention Jeff aka Gilajazz name.... Gotten a special price according to Adrian at RM6400 for the fronts. Not enough time to install today so made appointment to install tomorrow morning.... Will post pictures soon...
By the way, just for info Stuttgart have 2 more fronts set and 1 set front and rear.... Those interested to get those sexy banana BBK... Better be quick !

Bro Gilajazz, thank you for your help !

bro sunny,

Happy to help a fellow BMW kaki. Installation will take abt 2 hrs I think, as mechanic will hv to bleed the brake & re-fill in brake fluid, check to ensure all 'air bubbles' are bleeded out of brakes. The chief mechanic Ah Sang is helpful, talk to him. BTw my 'old' 325i front brakes are still in Stuttgart waiting for someone to buy:( Anyway im sure u hv looked around for the best price & my opinion is Stuttgart's price is hard to beat, especially if it includes installation (which can cost RM150 or more). Forget about importing 'heavy' things like brakes into Msia, postage/courier will kill you, then u also hv to pay kopi money bringing through our famous customs!

Post some pics of the installation. cu at tonite's TT...if ur coming...

cheers.

Is this Performance II spoiler? I like it a lot painted white! But a bit sayang to pay so much for CF then repaint.

Pls DONT paint it if you ended up getting it! I painted a pair of BMW OEM CF splitters for Pre-LCI non-sport version, not possible to sell at all...so got the picture?

Of course I won't pay RM 2000 and paint it to look like a RM500 replica. I understand the expensive part is the CF, so painting it white is rather stupid.

Thanks for the advise anyway! :)

Performance Spoiler II and Performance Diffusor

bro NCH,

The Perf. Spoiler II is on top of the boot area, in black carbon weave. Only a 'gila' person will paint over it, after spending over RM2k for the spoiler.

On the bottom bumper area (in black), is the Perf. Diffusor (See Pictures) in black carbon weave too. Adrian Stuttgart has one piece left, i think its selling for RM4800. This diffusor has 2 parts, the outer diffusor section is painted in yr white, while the centre diffusor area is nude carbon fibre weave...beautiful!

In fact, Alpine White was my 1st choice color, but sadly there wasn't any stock when i was booking at that 'special pre-reg' price. So i went for a black/saddle brown interior instead. The Performance parts in carbon fibre black looks really beautiful on yr Alpine White. Black carbon stands out well, and u should reconsider whether u want to paint everything in white...sayang la bro...

cheers.
