thx doc for your super initiative. very happy for all the 177hp guys. what a big difference it will be!

different topic altogether, to talk about wheels - i'm still running on stock potenza runflats. dropped the pressure to 30psi front, 34 psi rears for the last 2 months to try out, and it actually gave a very comfortable ride. softer, and less harsh on the tush. handling became a little squishy, but not too bad a compromise for a much gentler ride. did it on purpose for a family trip outstation.
this evening, i increased it back to 32/38 and it's back to a more feedback from the roads. after going softer for a while, it's actually quite nice getting back to riding on rails again - the msport suspension is a real big joy generator for me, i love it. rolling resistance feels less too.

would love to hear any other thoughts/feedback on tire pressures. fyi, the 17" recommended pressures on the side of the car is 230/280 kPas (33/40 psi) for a max load of 4 adults, in case anyone was wondering.

maniac,

im running on 230kps front and 255 kps rear.

230/280kps - recommended pressure by the tyre manufacturer
230/250kps - recommended pressure by BMW

Bumped up my Falken FK452 pressures to 33 fronts, 35 rears from 32/34.........but its feeling hard. Let me corner it hard and see whether it still screeches..

I'm running 33psi front and 40psi rear (BMW recommended, on stock 17" wheels and tire size). Its firm and sure footed but not overly hard or uncomfortable. Im fine with this set up. Max load is 3 pax and empty trunk/boot. Any more (ie. 4 pax with loaded rear) and there is a tendency to hit the bottom or front lip on speed humps and steep carpark ramps.
