BMW 2005 price increase

I was at Auto Bavaria Sungai Besi yesterday and spoke to the sales girl there re price increase on new BMWs. :getyourfactsright: She told me that they have been told by BMW Malaysia to tell all customers who book the 5 series that they will be subjected to the new prices and no more the current price. They are expecting a price increase of 7% to 10% due to the strong Euro dollar. :beaten: The new CBU 3 series will also cost more than 300K. The CKD prices is expected to be a shade below 300K, probably a difference of around 20K. :angry:

i thought the cbu 3 series have always been more than 300k (428k, to be exact), since they only have 330i as cbu and 318i and 325i being ckd.. the ckd 325i is now already 298k.. so, anything below 300k is actually better or similar pricing..

I was told the 300+ is for the entry level cbu 320. It won't be called the 318 any more. That means the new 320 ckd will probably cost about the same price as the current 325...bummer! The current 318i is only RM210K.

wow! that's very expensive then.. i read somewhere there will be 318 for e90, but it'll be much later.. it makes sense to call it 320, since the engine is 2 L anyway..

Might be a good idea to now grab the last of the E46 325i?

That car is quite complete, not really wanting in any particular area except maybe its lack of curtain airbags for the rear and lack of 3 point intertia-reel seatbelt for the rear centre seat.

Yes, if you're in the market for it, now's a good time cos' they're giving up to RM40K discount off the listed price (for 318i) to clear the stocks plus very low interest rates via Maybank.

The new 3 series will have the iDrive and lots more features. Plus the trunk can take in 2 golf bags!!

New here, just was reading thru.. How much do you guys think they will slash the price of the e46 318i to ? I am currently looking for a beemer and that might be an option if I can afford it of course. Whats the intrest with Maybank ? Does anyone know ?

I think the E46 comes with curtain airbags that extend from the front all the way to the rear and it does have the 3 point seatbelt for the rear center seat..

At least in mine it does.
