hi there guys,..been contemplating on getting a bigger car as theres another baby on the way ,,any idea on this toyota wish ? any first hand experience of driving and maintaining one ?whatever maybe , my bmw 316i manual will not be parting from me , no way.will trade off/sell the kia spectra before getting an mpv.would appreciate very much if you all could advise me on1. is it worthwhile of getting a new one for rm 156xxx , as compared to a recon car 3 yrs old for 115xxx ..this is from Naza dealer in JB.2.hows the road tax ?3.Maintenance wise ..ok ka ? parts reasonable and easily available ?roughly how much per year maintenance ?interior and exterior wear and tear ? after sale value in future is a worry..4.whats the fuel consumption like ?i'm a reasonable driver , 100-120km on the highway, ( a bit more if i drive my baby beemerr , heh ,heh ), with not much of city driving in muar ..5.whats the interior like ? if i use up all the 3 rows of seats, can i still have good lugage space ?6.easy parking ka ? my missus will do most of the driving here on this future car and with the kids and all, easy manouvering and parking are essential ..:) i am aware of other choices , particularly of the more recent and cheaper version of nissan grand livina rm 86xxxx-88xxxx , but theres a long waiting list , up to 1 yr.Avanza and innova are out of my list as they are truck like basis are not really in favour of comfort travelling. However these are of other reviews, but if you have personal opinions , i gladly appreciate them.any feedbacks most welcomethanks

If you used to drive a beemer, toyota wish is not for you. First of all it is not that spacious. Third row to me is awful. Try to consider honda odyssey 2.4L 200hp absolute version. 0-100 less than 10 seconds. Fuel consumption 9L/100km. Very spacious. Third row is useable by adults. Alternatively, if you are "brave" enough, consider a citroen C4 grand picasso. The best rating by What Car magazine. Only 2.0L but can take you up to 200km/hr with ease. Comes with 6 speed. Cabin very quiet. Brand new only RM180K. Just arrive in K.L last month. Any MPV has a lousy resale value except Estima. So, if you want a no-brainer, close-my-eyes-and-buy-one MPV, Estima is the one. If you need the most economical MPV, yet offers a lot of space head for Nissan Serena. Frankly, I am very impressed with the fuel economy. Livina's cabin is about th same size as Wish's cabin.

For me I will only go for two brands of MPV i.e. Estima or Alphard. That's all.

Toyota Wish is not a bigger car....it is just another car. For that kind of budget, go for a recond Estima or better still an Alphard! Not only your coming newborn but you can also fetch your parents and your in-laws!! Hehehehe!!!!

The question is perfectly valid but is not related to E46s. Hence, it is now moved.

badmd,

Put you plan on hold first. BMW is coming up with its first MPV next year. I think it's better you let go your 316i manual if this is going to happen. Sorry Estima!

thanks for the replies guys, ..first let me apologise for putting this q in the wrong place ..thanks for correcting me .hmm, thats a brilliant idea actually .. getting bmws first mpv..how much will my bimmer sell for i wonder ?
going to testdrive honda stream tomorrow..just gatal gatal set the appmt with the car dealer ..price is 146xxx on the road.. reiews about its fuel economy has been great so far.
once again , really appreciate all your inputs here.Just out of curiosity ,.. is any one out there interested in getting a manual bmw 2003 316ise ,.and whether there would any gross difference in the price range compared to manual ?
cheers guys
