You see... I am driving a Toyota Altis for more than 5 years now. Since all my partners are changing cars... I might as well do the same. There are 3 of them... and they go for Mazda CX9, Toyota Estima 3.5 Aeras S & Honda Odyssey respectively... all either big SUV or MPV. But I am not ready to go into that stage yet... even though the maintenance cost for those Japanese cars are cheaper compared to European marque.

That is why I am planning to sell off my Altis... buy a smaller national car such as Kenari or Kelisa which is under RM20k region for my daily travelling at my workplace... maintenance cost will definitely be cheaper this way and won't hurt my wallet that much :) and only drive to KL on weekends.

By the way, control arm as in the Active Steering or what?? Sorry still need to get used to BMW jargons here... he he he!

thule ur situation really sound like me..hahaha

before i bought the e60 i was driving altis as well...then i also have a kelisa at home which i tot i would use it to go office only and use the e60 for long distance travelling and at the end the kelisa has not been driven for as long as i have driven the e60 except when the e60 is sent to the SC for repairs...

i can tell u what i have gone thru only and eventhough i like the e60 very much but i have been fiddling with it to much and lost interest in other things especially work...hehe thats why if i can choose again i would get the boring harrier or camli and work harder to earn more and maybe that time can buy M5 liau...hehehe

but at the end of the day it is about what u want in your life...no one can stop u from getting anything that u desire...hehe:wink:

Let's see...

E60 M-Sport: Sexy, sporty, self-esteem booster, babe-magnet.

Harrier: Undesirable, clumsy, self-loathing (whenever you stop next to an E60 at traffic lights), thief-magnet.

OK, I exaggerate, but you get the picture. :D

Thule, would you be keen on an E280 Avantgarde with 12 months of warranty left from Mercedes Malaysia? Let me know if you are keen.

The Harrier is a very comfortable car, you choose to go that way, get the 3.0 or the newer 3.5.

Nah... my dad is driving E280 albeit the older model... anyway, I don't really like the design of e-Class... but the upcoming E-Class from Mercedes really take my breath away... and so does the new 5-Series... both set to launch early next year in Malaysia... keep our fingers crossed

E60 M-Sport... I totally agree with you especially the babe-magnet... but I am already married.. hahaha! Don't wanna my wife pulling my ears.

Harrier... I have taken the fact that my wife is pregnant into consideration. It's hard to climb up and down the SUV while pregnant u see... anyway, I do think Harrier as a comfortable car... but still the sportiness and sexy plus self-esteem booster for BMW won my heart in the end

hey hey hey... didn't read my new thread???

I have bought E60 M-Sport year 2005 with new Magnesium engine :top:

Now I am doing research on where to get the best available accessories, performance parts and etc...

go for e60 m-sport!!
i'm driving e60 m-sport, and my brother is driving harrier... the fuel consumption of harrier is horrible! with full tank, i can drive to singapore from kl, then only went for petrol station at melaka on my way home...
plus, the handling of e60 is unbeatable...

E60 Fuel Tank is how many liters? Harrier's?

I would disagree about the fuel consumption on Harrier is horrible. Suggest you check the Fuel/O2 Sensor if this happens.

Harrier Fuel tank can accommodate 55 litres only.

Bro... fuel consumption for any car can be horrible as long as we floor the accelerator :D not even Harrier but also BMW. But it's true that Harrier 2.4 is underpower due to its weight so it will actually consume more petrol.

But if we practice a good driving habit... gently pickup and gradually pickup speed... any car will show significant improvement in fuel consumption...
But then... what's the point of driving frugally with such a powerful car? :top:
