Airbag error sign pop up

Gents..MyE60 Airbag sign popped up.The message reads as ' belt tensioner or air bag system malfunction ' .Wat could b the damage like.pls advice on how n wer could i get it sorted.tqvm

It could be some sensor gone mad and you cannot clear the error code yourself. Hence, try going to a BMW specialist and use OBD to clear it off. If it doesn't pop up again, it might just be a glitch (I've experienced it before). If it pops up again then some sensor might have gone mad. Every car seat has a sensor but the OBD should be able to tell which one is at fault.

Ya bro. I had that before too. Got it cleared via the OBD and it never came back up again. It's been a bout a year already Phew!

It could be the seat occupancy mat under the passenger's seat. Mine was diagnosed with this problem.

I'm contemplating whether to change or not as it involves removing leather from the seat.

Yeah correct , saw that on IM 's post . But better get it sorted before it link to other stuffs and make it worst .

Dont u feel annoyed seeing the red lite lit ? BT W, its something to concern about safety as well.
