Paul Tan just posted his coverage of the launch. The interior looks kinda poor to me. Where the iDrive should be is converted into storage compartments instead. Initial details seem to point to a pretty basic equipment level too. For that amount of money a VW Tiguan looks like a better bargain instead.

i must say the build quality and the car itself is a letdown...does not have that bmw feel and quality...the interior is basic as well... the launch was low end unlike the previous functions when schlimmer and vijay used to be around...well i guess there has been a huge budget slash now...

Yep. The interior is pretty basic. Also, I did try to sit at the back and I found out its quite sempit (I'm a 6 ft tall). Well, its a compact SUV after all.

The launch was OK. I enjoy the food

i thought that the interior quality was much better than the previous generation models like the E90. Seems like it is built to last with less soft touch materials that turn gooey after a few years parked under the sun...
