I have noticed that the edges of the front windscreen of my 3yr old E90 was starting to "rust". A band of rust colored spots appeared 0.5" from top, left and right edges of the screen. The band is about 1" wide along the black spots.I initially thot it was the film from V-Krap that is causing the discoloration. When Puspakom removed the illegal film, I noticed that the rust was still there and in fact not from the tint film. It is not on the outer or inner surface of the windscreen. It is in the windscreen glass matetial.AB technician recalled that there have been another cases of this. AB put in a claim from BMW (M) and they responded that it is caused by heat and the stress of the installation, and it is not unsafe. Claim denied.I guess I can wait till a stone cracks the windscreen and have it changed by the insurer.Just wondering if anyone else has the problem.
