Gerald,

1. You can make a claim for your windscreen anytime as it will not affect your NCB.
2. Go to Dr Cermin and their locations are http://www.dr-windscreen.com/contact.htm
3. What is your insured amount for windscreen?? You should bring along your policy, registration card, NRIC to Dr Cremin and they will do all the neccesary claims for your. You should also ask them to replace the windscreen rubber seal. Also you should nego with them to re-instate the windscreen insurance for you.
4. Installation of V-Kool. Go directly to their HQ at Section 19. http://www.v-kool.com.my/contact.php

never short of an answer anytime in this forum, what more in such short period.
Thanks herbert, will do as told. But I assume I have to wait for my policy to arrive 1st before I can proceed with my claims.

Bro herbert, can you further explain when you say" should nego with them to re-instate the windscreen insurance" as from my understanding you can only claim once, no?

Thanks for the detailed info :top:

Re-instatement of windscreen policy. The insurance company will insist that you re-instate (re-insure) your windscreen policy when a claim has been made. So if you don't nego with workshop, you will need to pay for this re-instatement.

For example my e39 525i : windscreen insured for RM2K, insurance premium RM300. Workshop to make full claim of RM2K which include:

The windscreen RM750 (from MSG) + windscreen rubber seal RM 200 + V-Kool RM 400 + re-instate policy RM 300 = RM 1,650.

That is interesting, the last time I changed my E39 was RM 3k, it is the same amount as what I insured.
My E46 is insured for RM2k, will talk to them. Thanks for the tips bro

the last i went for a windshield chage was for my e34 years ago.shop was behind the tawakkal hospital near pahang roundabout.drove in,discussed about the claim issues and drove out 1.5 hrs later....all done.all insurance issues was handled by them.i didn't have to make any phone calls nor did i have to pay a single sen.but need to show insurance cover letter la.........can't remember the shops name tho....:top:

Just went and came back from Dr Cermin, the one at LDP near to Mperformance, was quoted RM2800 for the windscreen and rubber. Insurance coverage tak cukup and need to top up RM800. So how to ask for extra? Apparently, for E46 ci, there are no generic like MSG and Taiwan made. Only ori. Not satisfy with the price quote, call up my mech to ask him to find out, all in price at RM2400. Just to share

I changed mine in Penang though. Sedan, Original windscreen + rubber = 2100.
