Sorry guys ... very new here ...As the topic says ... or do you need to earn more to enjoy having a brand new 328 in your porch ...Let say a normal person :1) not smoking2) does not believe on branded item3) no kids4) good budget planner5) car installment around RM2700 a month ..with RM10000 a month can he afford ...falling in love with it but afraid cannot afford to maintain the car after free service finish ...by the way how much is the cost to service F30 ... anybody can share the maintenance cost please ...

RM10,000 nett SURE!!

But of RM10,000 gross plus house expenses might be a little susah however possible. 3 years warranty plus possible to extend to 5 years from BMW so mean its worry free for 5 years. RM2700 per month is about the same as buying a used E60/E90 as total expenses is the same RM1700 installment + RM1000 maintenance and repairs

Is there a extend 5 years policy .. the salesperson told me that this is only for E90 .. even stretch to 5 years ... if I took a 9 year loan then it will be difficult after that as maintenance will be high right ... or sold it before it reach 5 years ...
It possible but maybe only eat Maggi kosong without egg ... never owned BMW but now very itchy ...

It depend on how u expect from a car. If I earn 10k I buy used M3.
Buying used can be tricky ... if you get a lemon then the maintenance will be very high ... not very knowledgeable with BMW...

what is your surplus cash each month or disposable income after taking into account all expenses? that should tell you whether you ought to be paying 2.7k on a car.

Looks like RM10k is not enough ... if RM10k not enough than how much will be enough ...

Actually. If you really hit 10k a month, You would be wise enough to not ask such a question in a forum.
especially so if you say you are a good financial planner.

come on man, no one can help make decision for you except for yourself.
Whether you have a family to feed, school going kids, housing installments etc etc... is for you to decide and not US.

Go figure yourself man

After all, there are a lot of people out there earning way less than what you do and still drive a spanking brand new 5 series where as some people Earn 10X more than you and still think is too expensive to buy a Toyota Vios.

10k is more than enough for sure unless you got 6 kids to feed and support lerrr lol

If not brand new, might as well consider a late E90 320D which will suit your financial standings.
