ah... RM7-10k for 4.5 years is pretty impressive I must say :)

err.... have you ever driven the latest Merc E250 actually ? That one has better steering than F10. Don't just wipe our other brands, though you are probably die-hard supporter of BMW.

I have not test driven the C250, but if based on my test drive experience of F30 & E250, E250 is better. The same feeling is confirmed by my cousin as well, he look & see Audi / BMW / Merc for 6 months, and ended up having a E250. He was only 37 last year.

But E250 is out of reach for me :D

328Sport ... BMW is UDM la ... ULTIMATE Driving Machine, hence, there is nothing better than it. Its soooooo amazing and awesome. Hehehehehee ...

We are not WIPING them off, we are WRITING them off.. :4:

Sorry can't help it.. because treason carry death sentence in this country. :13:

Ha .... well, guess I have sufficient info for now.

Next is to wait for my car to due for replacement. Loooong waiting period .....

My 320d is about 26 months, 57k km. RM3300 or so for tires, around RM200 to service the AC. Everything else covered by BSRI.

Now that BSRI is over, I'm expecting to pay around RM500 per 10-11k km oil change, another RM3k or so for tires which I think can last another 25-30k km. I've not had any major mechanical problems on the car so far, only minor issues covered by warranty.

I went to test drive the last C-class a few weeks ago. Very responsive engine but I'm totally turned off by the very light steering. Maybe the C250 sport might be more to my liking but they didn't have one.

You are so wrong. U can try it on a shopping trolley. Place all the load to front of the trolley and try maneuver it.. that's your VW and Audi FWD handling. Straight road all the same la. Handling is way up there on my list because only BMW turns as you wish, all the rest, u turn steering, car still go straight in certain situation. Merz still acceptable la.. just hate the suspension set up meant for pensioned individual and the steering that has zero feel.

Anyway, many escalated this secondary consideration of yours to the top of their priority list without them knowing AFTER they start owning a BMW for a wrong reason.

My brand new pre-registered E90 320i bought 4.5 years ago clocked 50km on average daily, depreciated RM100k already, that's a 45% investment wiped out. Spent less than RM7k on maintenance, inclusive of tyres, bumper respray and windscreen chip repair. Many were done DIY, if you don't want to dirty your hand, add probably another RM3k to make it RM10k la.. with some minor leaks which I haven't fix because can wait.. :4:

RM100K is the rental fee of using BMW for 4.5 years NOT investment :motz:

That is cheaper that renting a Perodua Kancil :top:
If there is no maintenance involved. Anyway, I think it is still cheaper. Last time I rent a MYvi also cost me RM100 per day. Long term probably RM90.

I test drove the C200 Coupe couple of months ago and liked the car design and interior BUT was put off with the over light and almost non existent feedback. Guess I am just so used to the pin point accuracy of my ride.

Agree 100 percent.

One fine day during my days off, i went to C&C Federal Hgwy and tested C200 and C250.

If u drive normally without kicking the turbo in, it feels like a camry. No kidding. Didnt get to try the C300 though. That is a gem i heard.

But the 4 years warranty beats the BMW warranty anyday.

Go and have a test drive on E250, you will be amazed on how much Merc has evolved.

On C probably they numb the feeling to differentiate these 2 diff catagories, which is a pity.

Like I have said it, if compare F30 328 vis-a-vis E250, E250 has better steering feel. C250 I dunno.

Anyway, I only have "just" enough budget for max a F30.

The interior of the Mercedes makes me fall asleep :) The interior of the BMW makes me feel awake even when i'm drunk/sleepy, lol.

Interior of the E90 is simple and nice. However, it's way too tight. I wonder how a 6 foot plus German will fit.
