As a matter of curiosity, what kind of books/comics did you read/collect as a kid/teen?

Like many kids, I started with Enid Blyton - the Noddy, Faraway Tree, Naughtiest Girl (no, it's not porn!), Secret Seven & Famous Five series.
My most memorable all time favourite until today is The Hobbit by Tolkien.
I also remember Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, Trixie Belden series by Julie Campbell, Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and its sequels and all the Anne of Green Gables books.

As a teenager, I graduated to reading the Star Wars series, Tolkien'sLord of the Rings, David Gemmel and David Eddings fantasy series. Yes, i read some Mills and Boons.

Guess these are the type of books girls read! (before the days of Sweet Valley High, beverly 90210 etc.). Yes, I was a book worm and still is one.

With my brothers, we also had Marvel comics, Archie, Dennis the Menace, Beano, Dandy, Desperate Dan,... yes, Asterix and Tin Tin series!

What did you guys read? Er..did you guys read?
Superman was my fav hero..... i read all the way till he married, died and re-born..... then kinda moved on to videogames...

Anyone into Sega Genesis/Nintendo back then....??

The only Nintendo I remember was the small little hand held video game....what was it? Donkey Kong?? Top score 999 hehehe... :D :D

Bangsar then was not like now, all houses and jungle all arnd, esp the BSC area (thats y it was formerly known as Bukit Bangsar in the good ole days). There was no road up the hill towards Damansara back then....
