Which Black is "BLACKER"?

Someone took a swipe off the whole side of my car(still in workshop) :cry: :cry: So I decided to repaint the whole car since they were going to paint half the car anyway. I want to paint it Black. Which black is nicest and blackest?Jet Black II - 668 - BMW-Schwarz 2Diamond Black - 181 - DiamantenschwarzBlack Saphire - 475 - ????Carbon Black - 416 - carbonschawarzCan anyone tell me what is the difference between these "black"? Please post your 2 sen... and pics too if possible....

I uderstand that Jet Black is not a metalic colour....

But how do you "metalic" black...?

Solid black is always blacker than a metallic black!

sounds good. How much and how long did it take to paint your car?

Also yes I'm in town but tt at night how to see black colour?? :blink: :blink:

Perhaps I can buy you an early tt....

(just checked, they going to take about 10 days to fix my car.... :cry: :cry: )

dat fella says yer E39 whole paintjob wld cost RM2400.00. n it wld take approx 14 days to complete.

my car wuz sprayed by him. u see the website banner above, saw the white color car belongin to another forummer in ere? done by him too.

well, don take my words fer it, verify yerself n do yer own homewerk too, u may b gettin more competitive price elsewhere

What paint does he use? Glasurit? ICI?

I will ask around on the pricing...

be forewarned....maintaining the color is such a B*tch!!!

Don't go for carbon black - my colleague did that upon my advise and she was not too pleased.
It is not black enough and seems to have a slight hint of brown.

I sprayed my car about 2years ago.. it was erm called Superblack (Solid). hahaha, it is not one of the coded color from any car manufacturers i think, should be the painter's own recipe.

Very satisfied with the blackiness.. even till now (provided i wash it la). Here's a pic of it 1 year after painting it. (Still with old rims and illegal shiny number plate hehehe)

But Kahar is right, photo cant really tell. h34r:

Beautiful pics. Taking the pics at dusk really makes the black "blacker"....

Anyway since you use both Dupont and Glasurit, which do you find better?

Also what's the cost like between the two paint? :blush:
