My E39 is 2002 525i model. As of today clocked 143,432km. During my first day of ownership (24/9/2010), it was 131k km.

Mine (a 2003 local AB 525i) had 102,300km when I bought it, now has about 108k on the clock.....and still running strong. These things were made to last! :D

Still anak dara ler

haywire.. how is your car.. i heard you sent it to bomin is it??

By the way.. sorry to disappoint you guys. these M52/54 arent built to last.... its built to perform.. 150K-200K is about time to do a top, replace water pump, expansion tank, even radiator. Cheaper to replace it before it goes bad.. otherwise. big time overhaul like me.. but.. on the other hand, that gives an excuse for porting... polishing, balancing.. and to fix all the other itches..

haywire.. bomin is my usual joint. good place.. spare part with Fai.. john installed them.. and if u are familiar with part numbers, inform them earlier.. then they get it ready for you.

tell them you are my BMW club kaki, you will get next level of service.. :).

I bought all my 7's and 5's from them.

and yes... "I AM JEALOUS " with the specs that you have on your car after they mentioned it to me...

Adolf is good too rotfl. I normally always prefer to choose a name that resembles my number plate. Currently my plate is WUN530 so I'm thinking Wunderbar (means wonderful in German) but its too tacky. Any other suggestions?

Update: I think I liked Wunkel, a German surname. Kinda like wanker hahaha

Wunderbar? LoL....just a leeeeetle bit cheesy lah! :p As much as we love our cars, that's so "tak betul"! :p

Wunkel is better. A bit. How bout Hoffmeister? :D

By any chance do you live/work around the Damansara Heights area? I think I saw Wunderbar there the other day, parked illegally by the roadside! :p lol!

Please dont call it Wunderbar. I was only joking hehehe

Yes I work in Damansara Heights. Thats my spot that you saw me parked the other day. I rather park there rather than being double parked or got saman when parked closer to Plaza Damansara. I dont drive everyday though, most of the time rempit only to save on tolls hehe

Plus theres always an E34 and E32 parked there next to it so it kinda feel like a brotherhood

LOL. We're practically neighbours. I work at a law firm at the next block. You'll see my baby (when she gets back from her re-spray, that is) parked at B1.

Parking at plaza is a bit of a pain. I waited almost 6 months before I got my reserved lot. Though that required a lot of sweet talking the lady at the counter - LOL :p

In GDP the waiting list is about 1-2 years. Damn.

Where are you painting the car? I need to do my front bonnet.

I got Weng Seng to do it. They're not cheap, but their workmanship is very very good.
AB Sg Besi's cars are all sent there. They also prepare the Premium Selection cars for resale.
Let me know if you need their contact....their service advisor is a very very helpful chap! :D
