what is the small hole near the light switch

i ve been searching around but couldnt find anything to satisfy my curiousity :pi noticed that there is a small hole near the light switch knob. what is that? haha.. (maybe not a hole, kind of small LED or sensor sumthing) i hope u guys know what i m referring to.. juz curious '-_-
 
haha..ok will take tmr..actually want take long time alrdy..always forget..

I think that would be your light sensor for your instrument cluster back-light ... during daylight it would go maximum brightness when the sensor detects minimal light it will revert back to your setting :D Try this ... set your instrument cluster illumination to minimum then cover the sensor with your finger(do this during daytime)... You'll notice that the back-light has just gone dimmer :D
 
Thanks B33mEr..will try tmr..but i think u're right..coz it seems like a sensor to me too...maybe a type of LDR

yup..It is a light sensor which affects how brightly the on board computer and radio lights are displayed, based on how bright it is in the cabin. Test it out by getting in your car at night, starting it, turning on the headlights, then taking the flashlight out of the glove compartment and shining it at the sensor. The displays mentioned above should become much brighter.
