What I discovered and did to overcome fuel consumption problem

Hi Julian, thanks for the useful thread. I have been looking for a way to put a dent on my FC. I came across this

and woow their numbers look much better! The only explanation that could come up with is that their fuel is different than what we have here. According to this site my FC should be in the vicinity of 11L/100! I can only dream.

bro julian,thanx for sharing. so i guess the main culprit is the ecu then,after which u cld see a huge improvement on the fc. but of coz,other things that you did,plus list of items from sifu pussy did help too!

hi julian, we are the same group e34 late 1994 525 24v Single Vanos bimmer that is having fuel consumption problems. Mine is a drinker! Full tank city driving in Ipoh gives me only 350km. I am determined to get to the root of this problem. I was told by others who owns similar model, fuel consumption per full tank can do easily 500km. How is your fuel consumption after what you have done?

For your info, mine is early 1994 525 24v without vanos. Fuel consumption issue is a big subject. It could cause by many factors.

Does yours come with o2 exhaust sensor?
