These are machined aluminium and not plastic ones, brushed aluminium and not chrome. normal rings sold here are 90 degrees angle from the face, this one is 45 degrees (same angle as the original meter without rings). Bought it from ebay UK when I was still there.

Roadtax for 528i is RM800 more than 523i roadtax, but ohmmmm is big different between them..I own 523i, but if give me a chance, i will go for 528i/530i. Maintenance and FC are almost the same between 523i and 528i

Went to see a 523i, and it is 2002 model. But wikipedia says 523 production only until 2000?

Any comments?

Also want to get someone to help me out, check the car, run diagnostics etc. Is there anyone you could recommend?

2002 is mfg date or reg date? Recond, CBU or CKD?

This is oolork did before he bought his e46: Bought a diagnostic scanner (cost only RM180 now) and brought the scanner to each car so he can get the car detail before go further.

I can buy the scanner but will take some time to come right.. group buy. also, wont be familiar with the codes etc. so I dont mind taking like a mechanic or somebody if anyone has done this similarly pls let me know

Exactly! BMW is best with high displacement. Maintenance & fuel are same only once a year roadtax diff.
But when you floor the pedal you know the worth of the roadtax.

Same goes with my father last time owned a M54B22. He said power ok ok only. Now he drive M54B30. Everytime also floor the pedal kao kao. :43::43:
