530D for sale

Hi, yes the X.

That is the amount confidence I have on the diesel engines despite all the negativities expressed by many. One has to own one to appreciate the power, economics and durability.

I hope to share or sell my car to a fellow bimmer fan before opening it up to the public.

Thanks

I hv been using 530 diesel for 5 years and I am attached to it ... take note in Europe most the engine are diesel. Not much issue related to the engine or diesel. Take note the 2005 brand new diesel was bought at RM447K which is more expensive than 525i version RM395K. It has a lot of extras that CKD 525I cant offer. BTW it was brand new CBU... perception makes the car price completely useless....

1, Confort seat with 10 way adjustment
2. Sunroof
3. Adaptive steering
4. Adaptive headlight

unless if new , you need to live with the noisy engine that sounds like a 1980 opel taxi approaching

And its most embarrassing when the valet drives your car to you in the hotel lobby... tatatatatiktiktiktik

tatatatiktiktik on 530d is not that bad compare to 320d, at first, i do feel uncomfortable with the engine sound my 320d but that is in the past..hehe..now enjoying every moment zoom zoom vrooom vrooom!!

Hi Bro..Getting the same model next week..thanking you in advance for future advices :)

hi Guys, Finally my ride has arrived..any suggestion of Good workshops...

Diesels as always, have a poor reputation amongst luxury car buyers. It doesn't help that with our poor diesel fuel quality here, diesels always "smoke" a bit from their exhausts, which doesn't look good when pulling away from posh hotel porches....lol

Due to their slightly "agricultural" image, they often fetch lower prices on the used market. Only those in the know of the benefits of diesel will snap these cars up.

The 530d has an awesome engine for a diesel. Lots of low down torque and brilliantly refined for something running on the same stuff as our local buses. But these engines are extremely sensitive to proper maintenance - I think even more so than their petrol counterparts.

If this car you're looking at has full main-dealer service history, then I'd say go for it! ;) Though don't expect the same residuals as the 530i/525i when it comes to re-selling...

Thanks mate..still oblivion on the maintenance and controls..the car has no maintenance record..

If the car's been serviced at AB, Quill or Sapura, the service centres would have a record of the car's service history in their system even if the car's service handbook is missing.

If you still have your heart set on the car, at least get it checked by a BMW specialist before committing.

Good luck, bro! ;)

I think they will do well with or without the euro 4, Louis. the 520d., all the car you'll ever need..... In fact, if you can stump up the not-insignificant £30k asking price for this entry-level 520d – there’s a 530d, too, plus the 525i and 530i petrols, but the smallest diesel is the one everyone will buy – it could be all the car you’ll ever need.
