To buy parts with warranty or without warranty?

Dear sifus,I'm having a dilemma here. Problem started with mutiple lights came and and after diagnose, it is found that there's problem with my alternator. After getting quotations:1) RM 900 with 6 months warranty (from a workshop)2) RM 720 (with no warranty. They said warranty is vad till installation. If the car is up n running that's it)The 2) is from a known spare part dealers which I believe all the sifus here know of.How? To buy with warranty or without?Im driving a 318i facelift 2000cc btw. Thanks for the input.

Belting condition...
Bat condition...
The car not left without starting n moving for too long...
