IMHO, any pressurized can in the car is like a bomb waiting to explode,especially when you leave the parked in hot sun. I would suggest not to leave any pressurized sealed containers inside the car. I had an contractor friend of mine who kept WD40 in his trunk, blew up and dented the boot lid. Good thing the boot lid was still shut, the boot was a mess!
Agree with astroboy as well, my previous 5 cars, never once had to use the spare tyre. Whenever there was puncture, it deflated slowly, after that I just repressurize the tyre and head straight for the tyre shop and get it patched. One thing to remember, if theres a screw/nail embedded in the tyre, dont pull it it off...makes things worse.
