Type of modification on your E90

I opted out from the CF splitters guys and went with a different option..

i was browsing all the pages in this thread to see if there is cool mod pic, and came across ur post. those Hamann front spoiler (dont know either spoiler or splitter) look nice on M-kit. How much does it cost (incl installation)? plus i only see it in black colour. mine is monarco blue.. or does anyone know where to get it with a cheaper price tag?

Bro, I would say both M-Tech kit and style 162's rims are very very common. I bet you that you will feel bored looking at it very soon if you go with this modification. Most of the E90s on the road nowadays are with M-Tech kit. Try going for other type of bodykit such as Lumma, etc.

If you are narrowing down your bodykit choice to only M-Tech, then I'd vote for "2. M-tech kit + 162 wheels". A bodykit always looks much nicer than stock :top:

Alternatively, as mentioned by DY, you might want to broaden your choice of bodykits.

Bro, try to PM hazeriq, he may be planning to let go his Hamann front splitters and go for the Hartge Front Lips instead

I think all this is subjective to the eyes of the beholder. U want to get married and want to know what kind of girl we prefer.... we can keep talking forever and yet what matter is you yourself must feel comfortable with your new love cause you are the one that will spend your hard earn money on it.. not us..

I bought a black color car for 3 main reasons.

1. Its not too noticeable by other as I don't want to be in the focus of the conversation be it in the office or among the neighbour, and probably catch the eye of robbers.

2. No matter what bodykit u put in, when u r at more than 10 feet away, u won't notice the bodykit anymore, as they all look almost the same from far... so the oomph factor to slap a bodykit on is less desirable compare to a light color car.... say white or silver..

3. My missy loves the color..

My personal favorite remain WHITE!! :rock: 2nd choice is SILVER!! :rock: These colors will make whatever bodykit pops-up!!

astroboy, i same with u at wat u say in ur reason 2 & 3. but in the reason 1 its that black colour car not easy noticeable by other even robber?

really thanks for the GHS n DY for the useful information for me to consider.

in the end i have discuss with my wife about that, she told me that she love the 162 rim and give up the m-tech bodykit because watever i put in the bodykit or not, that's no diff in my black colour car and asking me wait the m-tech 2 bodykit out...haha.we feel that a black colour car put in the 162 wheel that look very classic for a little lowering the car...

and other reason i choose the 162 rim because of the e90 fender too big, if i put those agressive rim have to put on 19 inc only look nice ...even 18 inc also look small...but in my town seremban the road condition its fuxking shxt...and i found out 162 rim when putting in the ride its look huge like 19 inc....this just my personal opinion la...no offend to all...correct me if i wrong..cheers =)

About the black car thing, really if park in the porch with not too many light around, its quite difficult to tell what car is in the porch, so if the crooks are rounding the housing area at night, not easy for them to identify what car we are driving.. in the day time, the car is in the office, so again... its hidden from such preying eyes.. weekend pulak, the car is mostly in the shopping center..

Yes... the logo.. maybe they thought its a bash up E30 leh.. Its a terrace link house only ma..

On the road at night is also difficult to recognise an E90 ma.. compare to E60.. or Camry.. remember, we have "ugly" taillights ma.. That would brush off those crooks that will bump into u and fake an accidents.. often u overtake a dark color E90 without realising it, didn't u notice..

Yeah the type 162's concavity tend to make it look larger, furthermore the spokes extend all the way to the edge of the wheel, enhancing it's size.

If you had gone with some deep dish wheels, then 18" might have looked a little small compared to the type 162...

You may want to reconsider to the V-kool 40 for the entire car. I did it for all except the front windshield as it is too dark. This is not an issue in day time but night time the visibility is bad and you will see some distortion too.

Mine is V-Kool elite for the front windscreen and V-40 for the rest of the windows. It is a but dark but so far no problem with it.

Mine is with spacers too at the rear. It is 15mm spacers. This is to make the wheels to be more flush with the fender.

This is how a spacer looks like:

It pushes the wheel outwards resulting in a wider wheel base, thus look "better" and more stable. The only set back is it may worn out your wheel bearing faster..

Look the the following Accord Skyline hybrid.. notice how far the wheels are jutting out, thanks to the work of spacer.. :top:

I did my tinted at RM 2,000 in Tint Shop (USJ). That was in year 2006. I think u can get this price too now.
