Saw this in Freddie's car, and initially I tot its a orig M3 steering. What he did was to rewrap a std steering with the Nappa leather wrap and M blue and white stitches and change the faceplate to the clefted M logo plate (original part). Total damage is ~Rm600 (wrap) + ~Rm400 for plate = ~Rm1,000k. I couldn't tell the difference LOL. Ori swap is ~Rm3k

Bro ... can you pls pm me the shop that did the steering wrap with nappa leather like the above pic??? that looks really tasty :top:

Went for lunch with JPB around Tmn Mayang area and while we were there, visited Eddie the boss at Stuttgart and negotiated for the price of the following items:

1) Orig BMW Performance Full Brake System (Front 6 pot and Rear 2 pot. Made by Brembo)
2) Orig BMW Performance Intake System

Total price quoted is ~RM10k which is an unbelievable deal. I paid a deposit to lock down the price for the 2 items above. Only downside is ETA via sea freight is March 2009. But I don't mind waiting to save a few grand on the 2 items above heh. Good things come to those who wait..

Any others interested? The order is going into the container soon, so if there are other parts such as steering wheel, CF strut brace etc, can order in time.

wow...cool! congratz!

have you got a pic of the BMW rear BBK? they only come in Golden Yellow?
u made me itchy to go BBK too!

Unfortunately no. The closest pics I have is the brakes on the Tii concept which share identical calipers but blue in color. The BMW Perf calipers is only golden yellow. I think will match your arctic color fine :)

For RM10k for CF intake (3hp increase) incl front and rear BBKs, full BMW support, I think its a reasonable deal. Brembos, Alcons or AP Racing is more stunning but a whole lot more pricey. Long term cost also should be lower due to cheaper brake pads compared to Brembos, Alcon, APRacing etc.

AB sells the Performance Brakes for RM8,000.

got the brouchure out already

It doesn't include rear axle. Only front based on my last check. Its not clear in the brochure. You'll have to ask the part dept to find out the details.

the 1er with the Blue Caliper looks better. the BBK rotor looks ok on 18" alloy. but if 19", 380mm would be ideal

Can I ask a stupid question: if you are changing this, I assume this comes with the slotted/drilled discs? If this so or otherwise, do they have the parts when the discs wear out? I hope you don't have to wait for 4 months to get the shipment in or this is standard performance discs?

Yeah I was worried about this too. Parts wise, local BMW dealers are selling them meaning that they should be available when its time to change them out (i.e in stock). You will have to wait if you are buying replacement parts from 3rd party shops who don't carry stock.

I guess I'll find out over time haha.

Traveller, this video is just for you...

Not too late to place your order yet heh..

Arrrghhh! You made me drool all over the keyboard. Gonna drop by Stuttgart soon...

E46F, there r a few Sg BMW owner have tis steering. If u r interested, can join their TT on last sunday on d month to c it.

Well I missed Eddie of Stuttgart by about 5 mins when I went there on Sat. So it looks like I will have to wait till he gets back next week. Hope I will still have time to join in the order. Am now thinking of getting the steering wheel, brakes, air intake & strut brace. Obviously I doubt I really need any of the stuff, it just feels nice to have. Kinda like paddle shifters, don't need it, would hardly ever use it, but if you don't have it, you still want it anyway! :D

Go for it Traveler. For me its an experience thing, same case, no need, just want :). Never had a ride with 6 pot fronts and 2 pot rear brakes and I would be keen to see how the performance intake sounds and feels. So far the car drives lovely, and with these additions, it should be even more enjoyable :top:

Energy is also getting the intake and JPB might as well. Looks like come March 09, we should have a gathering/photo shoot of the upgraded rides. Economy is not so bright, so don't change car, instead keep the car and mod it :)

"Economy is not so bright" :)

that has to be the understatement of the year ...

most of us would be lucky to still be having our cars by next year. :)
sorry for the off topic, i wonder how well the new bmw performance parts division is doing?

Now I'm tempted... again...
Any idea how much is the Orig BMW Performance Intake System and CF Strut Brace separately?

Damn... I knew that it would be hard to rein in the car-modding habit... :argh:
