You can see the steering wheel and touch it on the 135i in the Ingress Auto showroom. It was there as of yesterday afternoon.

Hey guys. Came across the BMW Performance catalog at Ingress today during my BSRI service. The intake system looks like a good mod and should be much better than the K&N drop in some of us tried as it has been designed for additional 3 hp increase with better torque as well. Its also a full intake system not just a filter. Check it out..

----
BMW Performance Air Intake System

Getting everything your engine has to give.

The BMW Performance Air Intake System captures all the air your engine can possibly use, then introduces it as evenly as the engine can possibly use it, in the highest possible density. It generates more complete and more explosive combustion-and a fuller expression of your engine's sheer power and torque.

This dynamic breathing system was developed with computer simulations that revealed the optional size, shape, number and position of pathways that not only allow, but actually inspire the most unrestrained flow of fresh air.

The end result is a vehicle that responds to throttle inputs more robustly, and accelerates more energetically. It is not a coincidence that the innovative BMW Performance Air Intake System even makes your BMW sound faster.
Perfomance%20Air%20Intake%20System_1133.jpg

Upgrading to a BMW Performance air intake system will unleash gains in horsepower and torque for your 3 Series, while also helping an engine to operate more efficiently with reduced pressure drop and increased overall performance-up to 3 hp at 6000 RPM. (PN: 13 72 0 444 751)

BMW Malaysia is packing the Performance Intake together with some pretty lovely looking yellow caliper 6 pot + cross drilled rotors BMW Performance brake system for a total package price of RM12k Worth it?

BMW Performance Brake Kits

Brake with authority. Drive with confidence.

When a vehicle is built for high-performance driving, it's expected that high speeds and sporty maneuvers may require urgent deceleration. And only BMW knows how to stop its vehicles as well as it knows how to get them moving.

BMW Performance Brake Kits consist of slotted and cross-drilled front rotors and large fixed calipers. Designed for the 18'' alloy wheel, these braking systems effectively dissipate heat as well as water build-up between rotors and pads, and provide the muscular stopping power that you will need.

I checked with Ingress this morning and they said they do not have most of the BMW performance parts. I am interested in the braking and the airtake and possibly the chasis. But they don't have.

Thats a real bummer considering that they stock the brochures for the Performance parts and package deal. Maybe they'll have to order them in once confirmed which could be just a few days lead time. I haven't had time to check and research further, but its also not very pretty with just front calipers and no rear axle upgrade also. Based on USD pricing, the full brake kit including rear is ~USD2,200 which is under RM8k. Perhaps another 3k for the intake system and it shouldn't be more than RM11k-12k for the full brake kit and intake. Only thing is that parts are taxed here, so the orignal price of RM16k as stated in the brochure for just front axle brake kit and intake is mostly tax!

Might be cheaper in Singapore or through 3rd party importers like Stuttgart. Need to look for them one of these days to ask.

Some pics I found on E90 post for this Brake kit. Looks yummy.

Whats nice about this system is that its made to fit our E90's like a glove, which includes the brake pad sensors and proper brackets, unlike Brembos, Alcons where you'll give up your pad sensor. Also keeps the car under BMW warranty ....which in a few months time wont matter anyways for me LOL.

OEM BMW Performance Brake System. Kit includes: 2 6-piston aluminum fixed-calipers attached to front axle in BMW Performance Yellow with "BMW Performance" wordmark in ferric gey, 2 Slotted/perforated and internally ventilated front rotors, 2 front heat shields, 1 front pad sensor, 1 set of front brake pads, 2 2-piston aluminum fixed-calipers in BMW Performance Yellow with "BMW Performance" wordmark in ferric grey, 2 internally ventilated rear rotors, 1 set of rear brake pads, 1 rear pad sensor, and clips/mounting hardware.

Update: after calling Ingress, I sent an inquiry to BMW Malaysia via their website. It turn out that there are packages offered by BMW. Apparently, the person I talked to at Ingress had no clue what I was talking and just simply told me that they don't have. For that, BMW was not happy with Ingress and have them contacted me on this. Since then, I got the package prices (e.g. air intake and brake packag RM12k, BMW performance sport seat RM21k, etc.).

Nope. The BMW Performance Airi intake and brake package is together for RM12k for 325i. Other packages include:

- BMW Performance Wheel style 269 (225/35 R19 front and 255/30 R19 rear) - RM22,300
- Carbon package (rear spoiler, diffuser panel, fiber front splitter) - RM8,200
- Sport seats package - RM21,199
- Strut brace package - RM6,388
- Cockpit package (carbon finer trims for instrument panel, center console, front and rear door trims, aluminum pedals and BMW Performance Steering Wheel with integrated electronics) - RM15,000

Not cheap

Found details on E90 post, based on Ken's tips :). The performance intake is USD988 from BMW USA, or USD795 from 3rd party shops. Whats cool about it is that it draws cold air from the same spot as the stock filter plus under the front windscreen as well. Design of the airbox has been totally changed too. check it out..

After conversion without tax is ~RM3-3.5k. Not cheap but BMW claims 3 hp increase bringing the car to 221hp, and it sounds really good as well.

It also comes with a K&N looking new filter element.

Yeah I guess have to clean or replace completely. I went to Ingress this morning and the performance intake but itself cost RM4,889. Installation charges is RM150.

Apparently there is no rear brake kit for the E90 325i. The full system is only compatible with the E91 328i and E93 328i. I guess the rear brakes are meant for heavier rear cars (touring and convertible). However, I wonder if it can be re-trofitted. Ingress is checking for me on the price complete brake system package. Still no confirmation if its compatible with the Sedan E90 tho.

the BMW Performance rotor looks kinda small, does anyone know its size in mm?

Yeah its not very big esp for your 19's :). The std 330i front rotors (bigger than our 325i) is 330mm. The performance brake kit is 338mm. 335i front rotors is 348mm.

what actually are the cons of getting a Brembo than BMW performance BBK?

what sensors do we need to sacrifice when installing Brembos? any?

I just checked with Ingress. The full Performance Brake kit cost Rm18.5k and has to be shipped from Germany taking 3 weeks!
