Guys, since when did Breyton get such a bad press. I don't know where or how you came to such a conclusion. I use Breyton 19 flame sport and I compared it to the 17inch OEM that I replaced and it was lighter for sure. As for "soft", you don't pay 10K for "soft". I have never heard it described as soft in e90 post. Maybe you guys should share where this new info on Breyton came from. Breyton's Flame sport design are in a different class than the 189s.

I think heavy and soft are relative... If you compare the Breytons Visions to forged wheels, then they are certainly heavier and softer. I think Mein Auto is playing in a different category than us here in terms of price. BMW Wheels are rather heavy (except for performance or M forged range) but cheaper due to volume. Basically under 10k. Mass market aftermarket tuners like Breyton, Hartge, ACS are a notch above in terms of price hovering RM8-15k range in price. Then you've got the DPEs and NEEZ wheels. Last I heard MeinAuto got a nice set of forged 1 pc NEEZ wheel, brought in for the car. If you compare NEEZ to the rest, everything else is soft and heavy LOL. I am guessing the wheels alone cost over RM20-30k.

Some pics of NEEZ wheels. Sui or not? *drool*

On Breytons being heavier, that was a generalisation...most of them are...some of lighter eg Flame..but others like Race GT, Magic (and I think Vision) are heavy compared to other brands...just go to tire rack, and compare BBS CH 19" with the Breyton Race GT

On it being soft, i have personally not used them but have had friends who switched pretty quickly to something else due to the rate of them bending, but again most of them used Magic...Flame could be stronger

Not flaming Breyton (pun intended :1:) but my observations are based on facts (albeit from the internet) and experiences of others. To each his own

Shedden from Exotic Mods will order them for you but it could take a while. Might be easier to buy direct

Buying direct means going online to maybe UK/US website & buy from them huh...but pretty sure going for local custom clearance be a pain in the ass.i guess will be taxed big time.

i ever thought another route is to send exhaust from overseas to relative's address in S'pore and install over there?

Below are the lists of things i've modified:
1) BMC airflow
2) 19" Breyton GT rims
3) Lowered Eibach springs
4) Sprint booster
5) ICE- Helix amp, Hertz Mid and tweeter.

Mine is a 2006 ckd 325i.

Simon,
Nice. Why dont you post shots of your car before and after in the E90 Picture thread....

MeinReverse,
Couple of questions :
1. How bout those brakes mate?
2. Do you reckon getting an exhaust upgrade @ Jaafars is better than buying say - remus, eisenmann, sebring etc ?

cheers

Found out that my brakes may not fit yours but we could try (different brackets so says Freddie). Am still waiting for mine to arrive....took a while cause there was a screw-up in the order but should hopefully be here in a week

Exhaust - for your car, I would say Jaafar. Cheaper and pretty decent quality...can also tinker with it till you are satisfied with the sound

bimmer910,

I'm very new in this(forum posting), though i've been watching from the sidelines for quite sometime. Will take some pictures and post it at the picture thread

Hi Simon, welcome and maybe you would like to do an intro of yourself at the newbiew section and then register yourself in the E9x Registrar listing. Then possible join us for our lunch meet up on the 26th January at Bernard's Centrepoint Bandar Utama. Checkout our meet up thread.

Meinauto,
Ouch! The wait will make them all the more appreciated :)
Your brakes on my ride - not too difficult from what ive been told. Hope you go easy on me on the price.
As for the exhaust, heavens no, its not for me! Just a general question, so that the other forumers will have an idea. I'm of the opinion that buying a branded system will not necessarily provide satisfaction

By the way, what is the colour of your ride ?

Same year means "Ox". It's a very very good year for Ox in 2008. Everything will be very good

Sorry, made a terrible mistake:burnout: I'm actually a year older!!(72). I love black, so naturally my ride is black too. Love driving fast. Fastest was 3 months ago at highway to kuantan. Did 245km/h and i think it still can push if not for cars in front. Kesas highway is my favourite! Catch up with u guys on the 26th!
