Great outing and fun today folks! Good to note also that nothing happened as I heard from Tianci that one of the track VW Roc was wrecked after we left.

Thanks a lot for the pointer.:rock: Its good to be able to enjoy the big wide space and rains of rubber. Definitely need to upgrade the stock ARB. May even lowering and change the shockers to coilover.

It will be a while before I track again. I will know how bad my tyres is when I do some scrubbing this weekend. BTW, you want to come for a Kuala Kelewang drive on Aug 5? Will be slow and easy drive for curry wild boar wanton mee breakfast....

aidilj ... a fair bit came off but can feel the unevenness still ... need to see where the small lumps are. It was most interesting to see rubber raining on your car as you follow another car ... hahahahaha

Zhul you sure you saw djan? cool if it was. i didnt see him when i walked pass that pit. if it was that might explain why the preve was so fast

Saw him when I went to register for the track day, he was with with the R3 gang. The Preve was practically drifting through the corners on skinny tyres

had fun at the track and it was a last minute arrangement with XXX to drop by...
all in all, it was fun and also disappointing as towards the end when we were doing our 2nd and last stint, one track prepared integra caught fire and the session was red flagged and we had to return to the pits and only allowed to be on the track again 10 min before the session end...so didn't get much track time to get myself comfortable with the beast on the track...also the track was not at its best with all the track car testing so it was littered with too much rubber pebbles on and off the "driving lines" so instead of losing tyres thread we ended up collecting some...this causes vibration and loss of grip as well while doing a lap...especially at turn 4...only manage to do a very slow best time of 2.57.80 timed using the GPS/RaceChrono...
also at the beginning of the session, aidilj did a stunt in front of me after turn 6...hehehe...i'm glad nothing bad happen, only some scratches to the wheels...
now my car vibrates badly due to the rubber picked up and after driving 100km since yesterday, it is not improving and the shedding is not significant enough...i think the rubber has fused together...check out my tyres after 100km...

Don't get to hyped up about laptimes in ur first few track outings, in the haste to improve on track times, u will do all the wrong things...
My best lap time so far in my E30 318 is 3:00... It's been a while though.

Tianci, thanks for taking d lead in d orga of the track day and the directions to sepang by u and rx8. Was blady late and saw u all convoy out as i turn in. Never or less i am there and determined to try out d track. Was a linely drive and constantly zoom passed by d red ferari red integra and d s2000. Skidded 360 in one of the hairpin. Had to drive into d gravel to avoid d incoming cars. My 6th lap, red flags were out. Went 2 rounds lookinh for d entrance to d pit, lol. While doing that, saw d white track cat siroco trashed at turn 1. Front portion a gonner. Decided to call it for the day.....but i would like to do it again. Happy that my old car is in one pcs and no mechanical issurs after d few runs. However its very tail happy and difficult to control. Tianci your white e90 is very tastefully done up. Cheers and sorry for coming 2hours late.

And guys in the long straights how fast did you do? At 4th gear i was only doing 160 floored. Cant even touch 5th.
