I was on the way home on Jalan D'sara when I stumbled on a Porsche Boxster bearing a familiar number plate. It was a car I used to "babysit" on weekends 3 years ago. I lost my Touch N Go Card in that car and it could still be under the seats somewhere. Its present owner was really giving it a go with a blaze or just in a hurry. Personally, I feel that this early variant of the Boxster with 2.5L engine was Porsche's big mistake. I remember it felt very much like a real Porsche only when it's not moving in a straight line. Otherwise, it just felt too heavy and uneventful (though it's great for pulling chicks! heh!!). Compared to a CLK 230K I used to also babysit, I thot the CLK was even more purposeful in terms of the engine's muscle. So, I decided to tiong the bugger and kept up with him easily and was even quicker to exploit a gap in traffic to take the lead. Ooooooo... how that may have aggravated the fella!!. Then... a red Ferrari Testarossa who was probably dying for some action joined in the fray. It was sensational to hear the Ferrari's guuuurgle-rasp-guuuurgle by my side but due to lack of tarmac nearing my place, we only had a brisk, polite and respectful encounter. Oh what a night...!! It's been a while....

BMW v Porsche v Ferrari.....wow, I had the same experience yesterday morning on the NKVE.....but at speed of 10kph coz it was in a jam caused by a pile up of 6-7 cars.

In front was my BMW E34 525i, the 996 Turbo right behind me (no. plate CAM XXX) and a Ferrari 328 on another lane beside me..............

And I tot you only babysit things wearing G-strings........ekekeke..... :D
Errr DD, you are somewhat correct too. The g-strings are sitted on the passenger seat in the Porsche and CLK :yahoo:

Poor Boxster - I bet he gets it from BMWs all the time! Nice one, JPB!
I think so too. I'm also glad that of all the car makers, BMW is one which infuses good dollops of sportiness in their conventional models from 1-series to X5 etc. They continue to do so with better engines, lowering the torque entry etc and making the cars lighter etc. It's very rare to read car comparo tests where BMW's engines are not praised, often setting the benchmark.... :yahoo: In fact, the latest 6-potters in the E90 with 218 bhp for 325i and 258 bhp in 330i had the Porsche Boxsters in mind. Can't wait for the new M3 with V8 engine or some sick joker to put the M5's 5.0L V10 into an E90...

Thats a very famous tube, KT88 or something like that. Well, tube amp lovers *sigh* :p :p :D :D :D

wah... let me know if you need assistance in babysitting... both the machines and G-Strings... there will be no charges... :p

Heheh! It works both ways brudder! So, lemme know if you got any G-strings to babysit, eh. Can only do both if driving automatic, haha!

Although boxsters esp earlier version is not known for straight line speed, but I think it wud "ta pau" any standard sports sedan and also the CLK 230 anytime. its standard set up already much much better - lower car, better brakes, transmission etc etc

porsche has been restricting power on its boxsters as it is so balanced in the track that it seemed to be faster than standard 911 and they worry might affect the icon.

Interestingly, porsche will be launching 2 door coupe (cayman) end of this year with more power than boxster but still less than 911.

Beemaro, you could be quite right and I admit my only experience with the Boxster was roaming around KL's congested roads and a straight drive to SIC for Japan GT. I yearned for more power then and I guess so did others cos the Boxster's engine was quickly and substantially uprated with the 2.7L.
