So today was spent to do the paint undercoating for my car... Can't really see anything except they covered up everything including the rims and sprayed a black undercoat to the front & rear bumper + side skirt.
It should be ready by the time I get back from Taiwan on Wednesday.

Can't wait to see the final result really :) and I'm going to send it to do paint film protection on the day I get the car itself.. So another 2-3 days I can't touch it :(

They are washing & cleaning the car as I write this... But I love how the whole car looks \(^_^)/ what do you think?

Official pictures will be posted in this thread soon... Meanwhile I'm going to send the car to be applied with paint film protection (PFP) in Motorsport Playground @ Sunway. Can't heart the fact that the paint is easily chipped by the stones and debris on the road.

It is coming out nicely and cant wait to see it after all the spit n polish!

Tho' I might add that the contrasting colour of the side mirrors does not compliment the classic lines of your pug imo.

I agree with blackcat. Prefer the side mirrors to follow the body colour of the car. Just my 2 cents worth

I'm going the GT3 RS route although with some tweaks - front bumper and rear are GT3; but side skirt and spoiler are Techart. And the color scheme is exactly like GT3.. Middle vent on the bumper and side mirror. The rims should be silver as well but I'd decided to keep to gunmetal. I have decided to put the checkered stripes on the side of the car just like GT3...

Given the choice, I'd spray paint my car to black with orange together but I've to keep the cost down so I stick with the original paint with silver scheme. Few years down the road when I'm bored with the current paint, I'll just spray it black.

I'll post some pictures soon...

Rendering of checkered stripes at the side of my car.. Personally I prefer silver instead of red.

And I've got a good deal into apply the paint film protection on the front bonnet, bumper, fenders, headlamps and windscreen frame.. And they threw in door edge and rear wheel arch for free too

Another short update after so long.. Tonnes of works to do when I got back from Taiwan and since my car was parked in KL and not Pahang, I only get to see my baby on weekends. Anyway I have received my Elite Coil Mat with 18-19mm thickness (black & grey color). Bought the complete set for RM400 which comes with free heel pad (driver side) and chrome logo emblem on both sides. I'd bought from them once for my Hilux and it was great and that's why I ordered from them again.

To those who's interested, you can order from them directly at www.coilmat.com and have them prepared before collecting them from their shop in SS15 Subang Jaya. Of course they can send to you through postage at certain charges.

Cheers :)

I was looking for the right time to post the picture of my 997 here. Initially it was supposed to be in June but somehow I damaged my front bumper lips (damn I underestimated the bump near my house) so I had to send it to respray. And today I sent my car to be pampered by car spa in Damansara Uptown. Signed up RM2700 package just to maintain my car's paint. The result was satisfactory (^_^)
See for yourself

And update on what I'd done to my 997
1) paint film protection for the front bumper + lip, bonnet, side fenders, door guard, rear fender guard, front lamps... All for RM3000++ at Motorsport Playground. Definitely cheaper than G-Guard and Auto Detailer while keeping the benefit of protecting the car from stone chips

2) of course.. 997 GT3 body kit with Techart Type IV spoiler at the back + GT3 silver checkered stripes on both sides.
3) Llumar tinting for all the windows
4) Original PORSCHE lettering at the rear boot and took off the Carrera 4S

So far I've joined Porsche Club Malaysia (PCM) to learn more about this brand.
Next stop... Lambo door kit from LSD Germany as I found out that getting out from this car is hard enough but when I parked it at narrow spaces, it just got more difficult.
Power upgrade - IPD Plenum, air intake and remap ECU - will have to wait until budget permits.

So far I've gone up to 280 km/h on NKVE on Sunday morning when there are not many cars on the road... The car was eager to roar whenever I turned on its Sport Plus mode!

Thule signing off... On a note, I still have not christened it with any name

Goodridge brake hose arrived today :) RM450-480 including postage from the UK. Cheaper by about RM300 and definitely will improve the braking performance of my 997

RM300 is very good savings bro!

I need a spare set for my ride. Mind to PM me the contacts?

Bro.. I actually bought from eBay. Just type Goodridge for your BMW model and the result will pop out. But the exchange rate is unfavorable right now.. Still should be cheaper than buying local. Don't forget to ask them to declare as commercial sample and lower value to avoid import duty too :) u know how throat cutting our duty system is

That's a good deal. Saw on ebay for a 997 is about £75 only, mine costs £116 darnn with the terrible exchange rate nowadays equals to almost rm800..lost around rm300 compared to a few months ago..gonna order from a relative who will be back mid sept..

Do kindly share how's the braking experience like, apart from reducing the spongy brake pedal feel on my previous 335i..i heard it works best for track days to eliminate oem rubber line expansion from frequent hard braking

I always know that technology comes at a price especially for a brand like this. Brought my car to be checked when "TPM partial monitoring" appeared.. DU Tyre confirmed that this little bugger was faulty after thorough check and this little tyre pressure sensor alone cost RM460 (per unit) to be replaced.
Remark: could have bought from stockist at slightly cheaper price but I was so busy then so had to rely on them to get the stock. So there you go... Just remember with great power comes with great responsibility ($$$)
