Thought of Changing tyre

My car tyres is just using for 8 months and it started have very noisy sound especially when raining season. May be is time to change tyre? Any suggestion on the selection based on your personal experiences ?

Personally, if outside noise is the problem, I would suggest getting the car sound proofed instead. Better long term solution then constantly changing tyres.

errr how often do you need to change your tyres? My dad just give me his old coupe..he is using Michelin tyre..something with the pilot sports..any other recommendation?

Quite often, travel quite a fair bit and some tyres as per TS mentioned, after a while of using, they get noisier. The quieter ones tend to have the softer compound but with softer compound then they wear out faster.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport is great, fantastic and grippy tyres but they are not quiet. Michelin's PS3 instead is quieter. Other tyres I do like is Continental CSC5 which do have a good balance and you can also get them in RFT form.

My uncle owned 2013 Porsche 911 Coupe - this car equipped with Michelin PS3... I do test speeding over the car on highway and it was on rainy day..I drive 170KM/J...i feel like driving at the speed on 100KM/J only...didnot realize that i got up to 170KM/J. ... especially during rainy day.. the car was so steady... u be surprise..

wat car are u driving? and what tyres you using...? you pick the wrong tyre I think... some noisy tyre but can give good handling... but quiet tyre may not be very good in handling...

what car r u driving bro, tire & rim size? this all are related too. don't just simply go and change tire, advise u to research and seek from experts' opinions 1st before buying them.
do u have any favourite tire brands?

Nothing wrong with the PS3, but the PSS is better compared to the PS3. I have tracked with both of these tyres before and you can definitely feel that the PSS has more grip. The only difference I said about the PS3 is that because thread starter was complaining about noise, the PS3 is quieter than the PSS.

I think is worth it to spend a little bit to get better quality tyres la...if can last more longer..For safety reason

so far i am using P3ST and it is pretty safisfied!
everything is so good now, i feel so safe when i am driving and importantly it is quiet & no bumpy after 15 months i am using it.

Sometimes other factor like rim offsets do play a factor.
