Yeah i know Bro fabianyee. But what i am asking is this is Ori tyre. So its still new on my wheels. Is it a good tyre or just a OK ?
oic.... but since it's on ur car, u shud be able to tell how it's like... like the braking limit, dry traction and wet braking traction... if it's easy to 'invoke' the ABS or DSC, then it means it can't handle ur driving style.....

Has anyone heard off / tried the Yoko AVS DB ... from the AVS family but the tire shop guy in SIN was saying that they are comfort oriented performance tires .... My ES100s are due to go soon and I am looking at a few alternatives. The Dragons are on the shopping list too ...

Cheers,

Has anyone tried Bridgestone Potenza GIII? Need some feedback
Great Tyres for conering but you got to bear with the noise.

Pirelli Dragons... not bad for its price range...

Mine can withstand 25 laps at the Sepang track without any serious loss of grip....

Here's what it looked like after 25 laps...

oops  off tpoic liao..sorry!!

What!!! RM550 per tire and you whack 25 laps in Sepang ah!!! Aiyoyoh. I can't even afford to change tires. :beaten:

I had a close look at Lee's tyres after my Dragons also showed excessive scrubbing compared to the Bridgestones and Michelins I saw. I think the Dragon's wear rate could be high but after 12 laps on track, the tyres continued to perform OK in usual road conditions. On track, it was very good...

Last time I checked, BF Goodrich G-Force is not available in 235/45/17 in Malaysia, but you can ask any Michelin dealers to check for you. I think biggest is 225/45/17.

But nothing beat slicks on track man - Marco, when you go into karting you will know! Bad tyres = upto 2 sec per lap (bad driving another 2 sec!)

for the front i pumped in 40psi..rear 35psi!!
Before increasing the pressure, check on the sidewall what;s the max pressure recommended. Some tyres say 40psi, some say 50psi. Better don't exceed otherwise.............

Guys,

Being shopping for tyre lately, this is what i got for 265/35/18

1) Falken Avensis St115 RM700/pc (Hup Soon)
2) Dunlop Model not srue Rm680/pc (Hup Soon)
3) Pirelli Dragon for RM930/pc (MPS, Sunway)
4) GoodYear F1 (Made in Germany) RM1050/pc (MPS)
5) Falken Ziex 512??? RM1098/pc (Eenos, 1 Utama)

Anyone have any other quotation? Appreciate if you can add on to the list.

BTW, was told by munji (MPS) that my tire is uneven or bloated (a little) on the surface (not sidewall). It this normal? MPS also quoted Rim repairing at RM120/pc.

Hey guys! saw in the papers today Eneos Car centre in 1 Utama is advertising 15% off on Yokohama C-Drive tires. I might just check it out!!! :yahoo:
