car veering left or right according to road surface? i believe that's tramlining, and tends to occur if ur car is lowered.

just got pirelli dragons for RM430 last month, so the price is still valid... fyi.

Lee, any feedback on the Pirelli Dragons or am I being naive about its good attributes since it was such a massive improvement over my ex-Dunlop SP9000s?

jpb,

am using dragon for my front tires only, since my rear conti ii are still in good shape.

previously, my car tended to understeer on font conti as it wore out. i noticed having dragon in front corrected this (and maybe also because the grip is better, being new...)

general impressions; the dragon is a wee bit softer, not as 'kental' as the conti, but it is more progressive when i slide.... the conti tends to let go with less warning....

AS for vehicle veering to the sides (left or right depending on the road camber), the bigger your rims the more pronounced the effect will be.
Also check your caster values, they also influence this phenomenon.

is yoko ad07 in your consideration? highly recommended for those highly aspirited sunday drives. :D

Well, generally looking for a tire with a good mix of comfort, silence and good grip and mileage. No need phenomenal grip because my car does not have enough power anyway.

But from all who shared their thoughts there seems to be some rather affordable choices with the cahracteristics i'm looking for like:

Pirelli Dragon - RM430
Dunlop SP9000 - RM430 - Tried it, not bad but noisy at 50%
Yokohama C Drive - RM420 - Curious about it but no reviews yet
Falken ST115 - RM420 - Hmmm... Heavy wear rate lah...Donno, still swayed towards C Drive
Hankook Ventus - RM390 - Good price but wear rate?

Please continue the list in ascending order according to price :)

bimmerman,
FYI, i got my Pirelli Dragons 225/45/17 from Lim Tayar for RM550/piece. :(

affan66, how come so expensive? Eldrow and I got ours from Lim Tayar too at RM430 per piece?! Which branch did you go to?!!

What to do Bundee, looks like the sweet spot for 225/45/17 tires is around RM400-450. What to do? I'm addicted already. But no more than RM430 for me.

JPB, I asked them how come the price has increased? They said Pirelli has increased the prices. They also picked up the tires from TTDI's branch.

If it is still RM430, please let me know. I will go and give the shopowner at Lim Tayar Setapak a piece of my mind. Perhaps I will also pay a visit to Lim Tayar TTDI and tell the owner as well. Not good for them as the huge discrepancy of price is being discussed by club members.

Affan, is there a possibility that it's RM550 for the 235/45/17 and RM430 for the 225/45/17? Whatever it is, do let us know. Thanks!
