Forummers,Just wondering what is the best diesel oil that you guys are using for your oil burners ?I heard that Petronas has the best diesel out there but I am just wondering what the other forummers use or prefer ?Is there a major difference in power or mileage in your prefered brand ?Likewise on rare occasions, does your oil burners come out with white smoke for a short while and dissappear ?

white smoke means you got water either in engine or exhaust . if u see this in morning after cold night it should be fine. else get your car checked.

one wise bmwcm member told me does not matter which brand as long the diesel sold in the petrol station is fast moving ( lots car pump diesel there ) and they put in new stock fast the diesel should be good.

What is realised that these happens after a very heavy rain. And this happens after a few hours the rain has stopped. And it only smokes while stationary and only for a few seconds.

could be rain in your exhaust tip.
nothing to worry about.

I like Petronal Diesel. But I think all the same lah. The 320d is already damn good....!

The best diesel can be found in Europe :) In Malaysia, all of them are under Euro 2M standards so they are all more or less the same.

no need go so far , Singapore & Thailand also better than Malaysia.
but we make do with what we have , me is petronas

How much is diesel in SG?

Was using BHP diesel, just pumped Petronas Diesel over the weekend to test it out.

Has anyone used the new Petronas Station just before the UPM exit in North South Highway. Its the petronas with the drive through Starbucks.
Well I have poured 2 full tanks for my 40d and I found the diesel to be of best quality.

First - there are no green/blaack sulfur deposits on my exhaust
Second - After pouring, my odometer shows about 1000km - I only get this no when i poured Euro 4 fuel in Singapore
Third - Its a pure diesel and its not a biodiesel version.
Fourth - My engine sounds smoother and quieter.

Does anyone have preffered station to which you have been pouring and have found the diesel to be like mine ? I will also recommend the petronas station in Cyberjaya (the only one so far) as I found their diesels also good as well.

Anyone tried this station before ?

Wow that sounds amazing, will definitely have a try at one of those stations as I am in need of a fuel up.

I would recommend the petronas with the drive through starbucks. The one in Cyberjaya is a Bio Diesel one but still found that Diesel to be smooth.

Wanted to fill up Diesel in Cyberjaya today but was told that:
1. Only RM50 allowed per fill up (as per government instructions) - I didn't ask the bangla which govt....
2. Credit card was not accepted at the machine

Closed back my fuel cover and drove away.....
