need some advise here. is it necessary to remove swirl flaps so as to avoid future problems since many have said no difference in performance but are there any side effects long term wise and also what about egr? should it be bypass or what not? also what about heat exchanger?
car is 320d e90 184hp. thank you.

If your car is manufactured from 2010 onwards, you don't need to worry about the swirl flaps because they are not made of plastic anymore where they might break and go into your combustion chamber.

As for EGR, long term is to get a delete kit and do a remap to remove the check error light.
