Kaniz, BMWs good for 4 persons only doesn't matter if i or iL. For long distance better drive your MPV. Rear seat middle passenger will have to 'kang-kang' all the way.

Kangkang is good..:) My 6 yr old & 3 yr old daughter will point to the red e38 whenever i ask them which car want to take/drive....then when i look at my wife with my 5 month old son in her hand, she will say.....what's the point u spend so much money on the car & don't use it.....so end game, e38 is like travelling in business class & the mini MPV is like travelling in economy class....hehehe

Since this thread is on E38 observations i was wondering whether bmwc forumers have staggered or no-staggered wheel abd tire setups on their E38s?

Bro E28driver.....there is no compromise on staggered set up.....min 10j rear....mean and solid handling....in the dry....wet, be careful.....hahahahahah

Mine is on 8.5j all round. Tyres are 235/50/18 Touch wood never had any unpleasant experience be it wet or dry. Of course when wet pandai-pandai lah. Slow down a bit.

The best car is Alan's e38 which is almost full spec. Love the V12 engine.

I have an e38 728i Individual 2001 CBU with full spec. Navigation, blinds etc. fabulous car. Had it for 6 years. Never gave me any problems

Not yet. Need to sell the E23 first, but now have decided to enter that in this year's Asia Klasika in November. Hoping that makes it more valuable :)

Have seen quite a few nice examples on the road in the meantime though. The ones at dealers are all rubbish.

..i do not know much about E38 in terms of owning one, but what i was able to see on various forums, and felt it in live (in EU, V12 engine variant), as well as from pure design/wheel dynamics standpoint, it is best BMW ever built..long as vehicle is technically okay, you will not make a mistake..its a car for a lifetime..as for other options you mentioned, outside of BMW range, go for Range Rover P38 4.6 HSE..its unbeatable king of the road, toughest Range Rover ever built, chassis with strength of military truck and all 4 wheel drive all the time, equipped with one of the toughest BOSCH transmissions ever built..beating up brand new range rovers offroad with smile on the face..in my humble oppinion, what is E38 in BMW world, thats P38 (what a coincidence in code names) in Range Rover world...real papa in familly :)

My man Ray's car for sale???? Wahliao wei....what is he getting next???? Certainly one of the most pristine amongst collectors, plus the owner and me share same hairstyle...actually he copied me...hahahahahaha

same hairstyle onli? not the same womaniser attitude ka ? hehehe
