Admins... With my official membership status in the works, I guess I could mention some suggestions: 1) Can we break up the main model threads into sub groups e.g. 3 series section with subgroups to cover E30, E36, E46, E90 2) A Garage section linked to our profile. We can use this to share info of our rides with pics etc. 3) Please bring back the check mark or notation on threads that you have posted in. 4) Please have more smileys...I'm limited in expressing/communicating myself with the current limited range of smileys. Thanks.

your sugestions would most likely be granted.
just give us some time.

Well as mentioned, I'd really like to see each series develop their own specific Special Interest Groups (SPIGs) e.g. 3 series (main group/series) and the E90 crowd (SPIG) who are getting stronger and more organized. It will them a sense of identity within the universe of BCM.

That is why I am asking the admins for a specific sub section, I think it will be good for the community. I do not think this will risk compartmentalizing the general population, au contraire I think once identities/colors are set, folks can know who to seek when wanting to learn from each other e.g. E90 learning from the E60 crowd etc etc. Besides there will be many central/common threads and events to participate in.

What do you think of having a sponsored classifieds section?

The idea is to have select vendors of BMW related products/accessories post listings/solicit business as well as car dealerships.

They all will have to either pay a monthly fee or a listing fee. All content must be approved by the committee and proper verification of business and identity must be established to prevent fraud. Aside from funds going into the club's kitty, members will also be able to learn of new products or cars of interest, for sale etc.

To prevent the over commercialization of this forum, all commercial activities and solicitations must be contained within one specific section.

Of course once you establish a commercial section it is only fitting that you have a vendors feedback section...but this shouldn't be limited to sponsoring vendors. Members can write various feedbacks/reviews of workshops, mechanics, dealerships, salesmen etc.
