Road Tax for old Beemer

Hey,I just wonder how much do you guys pay for road tax? I mean, if you drive old 5 series with 3.0 Litres and if you drive new 5 series with the same engine, do you still pay the same amount? As I understand, road tax will be charged based on engine capacity, is that correct?

unless your car is more 25 yrs old. you can apply for classic car road tax... they give you discount for tht.
