My family who sit on the back repeat complain they feel dizzy and uncomfortable when I drive the car on road. So, one day I let my wife drive and I sit on the back to feel it. Result...I also feel dizzy and uncomfortable for what they complain and even feel need throw up when the car take us move more than half hour. Is that a car sick? All of our family member included me also got car sick symptom?OR...what I get info from other member said that is the suspension issue? Is it too soft or hard? Came from the spring or the absorber? Any bro know what exactly happen and how to solve the problem......to the car or to the human?TQ.

happend to my father in law iswara cars... its due to his alsmost gone rear absorber + ageing spring from early 90....

but your is new car....

same thing to me.

i not sure why F30 chassis can be that 'soft'

the chassis felt like a 7 year old car when all welds are falling apart.

in fact, main reason why i sold my 320i after 8 months.

No la...during testing time we drive in conservative style :slug: The route is from Jalan Ampang to Jalan Tun Razak to Jalan Pahang to Jalan Kuching and to Jalan Kepong.

Any Bro experience the same ?

TQ.

The car is made soft as not many out there care for how well the car corners hard etc. I think a mere few percent only expect the car to be stiffer. Most want to enjoy a comfortable ride.

So far no complaints from my kids who are sitting behind. However, I do have friends who complaint about getting car sick when sitting behind a BMW 5 series. Could it be the car design to be driver centric at the expense of passengers comfort? After all a BMW is a drivers car.

I just need to enjoy comfortable and no car sick ride. What the setup should be?
TQ.

After installing H & R springs.

The ride is firmer with less bouce .

My parents have yet to complain of any motion sickness when they are sitting at the back .

A long distance drive to singapore with full load was completed without any complains cept for the common . OMG SLOW DOWN comments by my mom.

Simon. I got it from bro Maroonbug.

You can PM him and he will arrange for the springs to be installed for you @ speedline in Kota Damansara.

They also did adjustment to my alignment after installation.

So far no complains with the springs :)

Change spring without changing absorber? so the reason for the car sick is due to hard cornering and bouncy going uneven road? how is firming up the ride help?

nobody ever complained about getting sick on the backseat of my F30 yet. however after a year of ownership I am getting rather tired with the car's softness. if I wanted something this lofty I should have saved some money and bought a Camry. it is also dangerous to drive a stock F30 'like a BMW'.

looks like I'll be going down the H&R route myself..

The car causes motion sickness for some probably because of:

1 driving style
2 propensity of passenger to motion sickness

Changing to firmer springs is not an assured solution. But I must say the H&R springs makes the stock car less bouncy but the ride is not that firm. Still softer than my e90 MSport by quite a bit.

Give you an example. When my bros drive my mom and all complain. When I drive they don't. Same car.

As for springs. I tried the Eibach. Its softer than my e90 M Sport. Driving from KL to Penang it feels better BUT when going for spirited drives the rear suffers. Its slightly nervous.

So its hard to get the best of both worlds and you can see, sometimes softer springs are better and the driver plays a big roll too.

Mizhan ... H&R tu not that firm for fun fun driving ya. Literally only one step up from the soft stock. I would say it feels about as firm as my CRZ only. Of which is not that firm.

I noticed most after market springs are not the the lowest in stiffness. Some brands have 3 levels of stiffness and Malaysia always brings in the least stiff.

No matter what I still seen how a certain RED F30 can wallop all the turns at Ulu Yam la, Genting la, Route 68 la, Bukit Tinggi la ... Tapi kat Frasers driver got motion sickness. LOL

To all Bro...is that the alignment also will cause this? Mine alignment setting is from factory, never do alignment since occupied the car. TQ.
