Unusual Car Odour - Chemical/Leak

Hi, does anyone of you have the same topic problem or know how to determine the source of the problem?

I have complained to 2 SC about the odour emitting from the AC every time I start the car. SG. BESI SC changed AC filter but didn't solve the problem, sent it in 3 times and all times they didn't fix the problem. Sent it in the Jln Tun Razak SC, they changed the AC cooling system but didn't fix the problem too.

I also noticed that not just starting the car, odour emits from the AC but just entering the car itself without starting the car, the whole interior is filled with some kind of chemical odour.

I'm into 3rd year of warranty and this is really giving me a headache (literally), the smell is killing me slowly and I feel as though I've invested in a defective product.

Some of the SG. BESI SC mechanics even refuse to acknowledge there's any smell. My passengers are all really put off by the smell and am actually shocked with such a problem from a premier luxury brand.

Please help comment and give me some advice on which SC to go to, to fix this, what could be the problem etc.

I had a similar problem previously, not chemical smell. Some sort of odour and same syndrome like you. I sent to Glenmarie. They spent a few days and dismantled the entire dashboard. At last, they told me they found some leaves and substances in the aircon ducts. The solution was to install some sort mesh at the inlet. I have no ideas how this could happen. I thought there is a air-con filter and this problem should not happen. Anyway, problems solved. Hope this info is helpful to you.

Thanks ongss. They have dismantled the entire dashboard to change the cooling system earlier, don't think there were leaves or substance as they did not highlight any of this issue with me.

Anyway, the chemical smell in the car is still present every time I enter the car and the AC got worst today. Not only was the smell from outside coming in on Manual mode, it was blowing hot and cold even when the AC was turned off. The AC draft was also blowing irregularly when it was at a fixed level.

What a bummer... sigh...
