Currently driving courtesy from AB 316i with just over 1k mileage. Beginning to experience idling vibration. Hmmm.

Put Ron97 or V Power Racing and see if it still vibrates. You never know the vibration may just go away.

Dear Prot, I would appreciate a more constructive comment than a negative one. Do you know what exactly causes the so called engine vibration? If you don't know and you don't have a solution for it then just read on and keep quite. The so called engine vibration may be just rough engine idling caused by poor quality fuel. I have experienced in my previous ride where changing to a better fuel helps rough engine idling and lessen the engine rattling noise. So there's no harm trying this out. I am just trying to help a fellow member to solve his problem and not selling snake oil here. Enough said.

Haha splee bro I think Prot bro was joking when he said that...at least that's how I interpret it.

Anyhow back to the topic...using same car and mileage approaching 20k and my butt does feel some slight vibration these past few weeks...very faint though, got to ask someone else try it but its too little for the dealer to take any action am afraid. FYI am running Shell Ron 97 for a couple of months now so I think I can rule that out.

Guy,

I have a 316i and have some rattling issue in the driver side door. Its really annoying and I want to get it fixed.

I bought my car from Auto Bavaria KL and I am in JB now. Can I send my car to Wearnes Johor instead of Auto Bavaria to get it checked or I should I always go back to Auto Bavaria Branch i.e AB JB to get it fixed

Thanks.

You should be able to get check out at any BMW authorized dealer regardless where you bought the car from.

problem solve ? Many of my friends had the same issue , 316i and 320i...
SC can rectify it engine mounting/bush..

My bro's 2014 F30 316i, got misfire issue last week, change one of the coil with bosch type, the oem coil brand Delphi..looks cheap and not reliable. The turbo elbow tube got torn from the clamp, thought causing the vibration but the vibration still there especially during cold start. I may need to get it thoroughly scan.

Yes, I do have the same vibration during idle, And I asked the SC agent, which he told me it is not mounting problem instead it is the engine cause all this vibration, and I even asked it this normal? and he say yes......

It is glenmarie SC i went previously. In my experience this vibration doesn't visits every time as long as you do not play with the driving mode frequently. BTW I'm driving a Dec 2013 316i (58k mileage).

But instead of the annoying vibration I am more annoyed about the rattling noise which came from both front door sides and steering. I went and complain for 3 times but the sounds still exist..... hmmmmm...

I have just replaced with the aftermarket intake pipe since the stock one tend to break and one of the pipe connector broken which causing the engine shaking during cold start. Its a common failure for N13 engine and would recommend to be replace.

Hi folks

May i know anyone has successful resolve the vibration isue during idle ? please let me know ..as I went through few SC , they claim its normal ! BTW I just got my car on March this year !! WTF !

.i saw some threads mentioned engine mountings/gearbox mountings , some said spark plugs , some saids ICV -idle control valve ...

please help . folks

Its the elbow tube which connected to the turbo causing the vibration, that part is fragile and suggested to replace it with the aftermarket aluminum tube.
