Guys,

I found this advertisement in one of the Malaysia car magazine - TyreGuardian. They claimed to be a cheaper but better option than RFT. It is basically adding a special latex-based sealant into all the tyres, it will form evenly in the inner tyre. When the tyre is punctured, the sealant will immediately block the air leak. And it can last as long as the life span of the tyre. Also claimed no effect on balancing of the tyre.

Anybody try this before ? any comment ? Price ?

I would be interested in getting RFT tyre as well for my E90 325 M Sports, provided the ride is softer. Some forumers says the the new models have softer side walls...

switch to non RFTs. you wont regret it

It had to happen.....:102:

One of my 1 yr old Re050s is suffering a slow puncture due to a screw stuck in it...And it had to be the rear one - 255/17/40...bigger than the front, hence more expensive.

Now I have to face this dilemma that many threads here have discussed over and over again..to replace with another set of heavy, stiff RFTs or to buy a set of non RFTs...

I wonder if the price of RFTs have dropped since..anyone recently bought a set?

switch to non rfts. more comfortable, cheaper and quieter.

For me, after experiencing a total loss of air on the road last year, nothing beats the safety and peace of mind of RFTs. I hope to try Michelin or Pirelli RFTs the next round.

RFT rocks!

I agreed with you. safety is the main concern when we r driving fast.

And yes, i got my Pirelli P Zero RFT last week! good tyres :):top:

Just to share my experience on the Pirelli P Zero RFT, been using them for over 3 months - great tyres. Good handling, quiet and performs well. However I paid RM1300 each for 225/45R17 :(

Thanks for sharing. RM1,300 seems pretty cheap actually. I think the Bridgestone and Michelin RFTs are in the RM1,600-1,900 range. Wonder why.

It's time to change the tyres of my E90 325i on stock rims and have decided to go the non-RFT option. To my horror, my regular tyre man said there there's currently no available stock of any make for 255/40/17 tyres. Anyone can help?
