place to skim my rims

Hi Guys,I'm planning to skim and repair my rims. Had asked a few places around...Question:1. Why there's a major difference in repair and skimmingprices? Some place quote me RM55/pc, some place RM140/pc?2. What actually they'll do? I heard they'll burn your rims to repair/skim it.. Will they paint it?3. Will it be 100% like new rims? some claim they can do 99.99% like new? is this true?4. Where's the best place in Klang valley? (good job and reasonable price)5. Some said it cannot last long and also dangerous..Is this true?Pls help me all Sifu!!!!

heard tht there is a place in old klang road....not too sure where though.

but u can pm jipster or wolverine and they can tell u where to go to get ur rims done...

I have done 2 sets of rims at Heap Soon, no complaints.

Here is my rim refurbished. Re-machine lip, respray, some spot weld done on chipped edges. Does it look like new? hehhehhee

ersalle, would u mind sharing mit us wher u got your rims refurbished, what sort of work & types of charges wer involved, how much & how long did it take please?10q.

Done refurbishing at SUN HUP Tyres in JB. Costs RM290 for all four rims + respray. Add RM30 for welding on chipped rims. Duration around 1 to 1-1/2 weeks.

Knocking, welding, skimming, painting.
RM80/pc 17"

about 3-4 days for all 4 rims.
