Hi bro, thanks for the compliment. Initially decided to stick to the original silver to maintain the original look but that changed when I saw a set of style 135M that freshly baked from the oven, painted in gunmetal. It's just gorgeous. Silver is a bitch to clean as well due to the light color, especially when covered in brake dusts.

+1 for this.

I was going to comment that the gunmetal, would be able to hide the brake dust for longer.
Nice colour on the wheels :top:

So now have to go for another test ride... haha. Somehow i pictured the gunmetal to be slightly darker though...

New purchase to replace the 9 year old worn leather key pouch :D

Car have since clocked about 15,000km since purchased last April. Lately, car hardly been driven and parked most of the time. On Tuesday, upon starting the car just to do warm it up and do some random diagnosis and this happened.

Car started vibrating badly and RPM dropped. Feels just like it's running on 1 less cylinder. Plugged in to INPA and here's the error:

Was pretty surprised as I have recently changed all 6 ignitions coils (about 3 months ago). Consulted sifu IceDuke and did some tests this morning.

Removed the plugs and coils to check and all seemed normal except plugs is abit wet. Swapped coils between cylinder 4 and cylinder 1 and drove to WP Auto to replace my recently bought fuel filter.

All is normal until after the replacement of the fuel filter, drove out of Albert's place, car started vibrating again. Instant gut feel is the ignition coil which was swapped to cylinder 1.

Parked the car at the road side, took out the netbook & fired up INPA to diagnose. Gut feel proven to be true as shown cylinder 1 as misfiring, which confirms the coil is faulty.

Drove straight to nearby BA Maluri (about 5km away from Albert's place) and drive back to IceDuke's place to get the coil replaced.

Restarted the car, did a test run and instantly felt the difference. Car has much better idling, smoother response and more low-end power.

Suspected the coil to have been having issues for the past month as FC suffer quite abit and car felt sluggish. Was quite still surprised to find a brand new 3 months old original Bosch ignition coil to go so soon.

Called up BA and checked whether do they provide any warranty for it but unfortunately was told none.

So the rough idling was resolved with replacement of new coil?

Have not as have no time today. Is yours misfiring all the time? Mine only happens during cold start and once warmed up it's okay. Engine died once but all been good so far.

Nevertheless, going to clean it the next round of service or may do DIY.

Is the cold start problem resolved yet?

Hi Herbert, rough idling solved by coil replacement. Cold start issue is intermittent. Planning to clean the ICV so see whether does it helps.

Despite already put up the ride for sale, she's still one of the top priorities. All have to be maintained in tip-top condition.

Recently, after few days of parking under the hot sun when car is sent to the mech to overhaul the rear axle, the rear ashtray is shot. Must be due to the temperature.

Decided to pay BA a visit and get a replacement. The ashtray which came originally with the car has a chrome strip on the slider cover but BA only carries stock which are without the chrome strip. Since looks-wise the difference is minimal, it makes no difference to me.

Since it's a common part to broke in our E46s, it's good to share the some info with everyone. P/N is 5116 8225 988 and is selling for RM190 at Bavarian Auto.

Some photos of DIY'ing:

Once LED is removed, undo all the removal process to install everything back. It took me about 30 minutes as screwing the plastic screws back is a pain in the bum due to the limited space.

Nice one bro....this was one of my first DIY on my car, I got the ashtray from a trader in mudah, kedai potong condition at RM140.

@Strider74:
Hi bro, mine was still very good condition a year ago. Must be the weather lah. Hehe...

@Alex5522:
Price went up? Should have negotiated abit :D

Another weekend project. Thanks to a fellow OM with lotsa "kangtao" for sourcing this at very competitive price.

Level of difficulty for installation: 2/10. Just simply pry the old ones out gently with plastic remover.

Unfortunately, during removal of old door steps, few clips were broken but able to source for them at BA for RM3 each (P/N# 51471840960).

M-tech kits conversion is almost done. Pending items are:

- M-sport semi-bucket electric seats
- Shadowline trim

Mine about 50% left. Can check by looking at the thickness of the pads. Just buying for spare.
