Not much updates lately. Car's back in workshop again cos of gearbox refusing to shift cleanly from 2nd-3rd-4th especially from cold.

Apparently still got problems with the solenoids...

Despite that, I never fail to do a double-triple take after parking her cos she just looks so awesome... :love:

Nah, my dad's mechanic lent him the E38 to use for the meantime.

As much as I adore E38s, that awful fibre bodykit has to go... Really spoils the E38 lines.

Enjoy the pics though. Rarely get the chance to snap an E38 right next to my Alpina Wannabe.

Had a chance to take it for a spin, and it's rather quiet compared to my throaty and coarse sounding E32. But I felt the E38 was quite a heavy car to drive around in as compared to my E32, and the XJ40 I had been driving for the past couple of days...

Probably if given a proper check up and a proper stretch of road, will only be able to ascertain just how cool these highway cruisers can be. :love:

Hahaha. No idea at all. It looks rather ridiculous to me. Would rather have the original bumpers then. First time driving a Bimmer without the traditional hand-brake. Feels odd to be driving a BMW and making me think it's a Merc instead with the parking brake on the foot. :biggrin:

that front bumper looks like it was meant for e39..it just doesnt fit.. bro eggie, perhaps u shud try drive an e38 with 4.0 v8 inside.. my father's fren said nyawa tinggal belalkang when he floored it..haha.. just imagine the latter 4.4 v8 in e39 plus a manual 6 speed like bro fariz.. owh mannnn.....

You might want to consider this guy for your gearbox. They seems to be speaciallise for gearbox.

I have called them b4 to enquire and their prices are quite ok. However, I have not send my car there b4 coz my gearbox belum pecah yet.

If they have your gearbox in stock, they will do a swap with your current one. Otherwise, they will rebuilt your existing one.

Perhaps other forummers can share a bit on the place.
