Got my car back earlier this week, went for a drive and noticed some gear slippage when shifting between first-second gear. Also, felt some slight vibrations underneath the car, mechanic said need to replace longshaft, so it's back in the workshop to get that rectified as well.

Since getting the car back, the car sounds so much quieter now even when I start the car up. Apparently all it took was to replace the whole exhaust system and the car's super quiet now at idle. Dang, I do miss the raw sound it made each time I left the car at idle previously though! :biggrin:

Reached yet another milestone few days ago...

257752 miles and still counting = 414,723 kilometres covered. She's still going strong. :love:

Recent bill for the latest repair amounted to approximately RM950 for replacing the longshaft and sorting out the gearbox.

Actually the previous bill for the overhauling of the gearbox amounted to few thousands, and will slowly pay off my parents for the debt.

just noticed you have different sets of head lamp.. i have always wonder what the smiley does for the lamp. since you're having one side smiley lamp and the other being non-smiley. do you notice any difference?

Hey bro. Actually originally mine came without smileys. Actually if not mistaken. the smiley-spec lights are either the US/Euro spec models but I'm not too sure which is which, hope the sifus can enlighten more on this.

Previously bought an E34 right side lamp assembly to replace my previous one; back then kept having issues with poor lighting on my E32, especially driver's side. So it's actually misleading cos one side got smiley, the other isn't. :biggrin:

Yup, it's a real pleasure indeed getting back behind the wheel of my car. Really missed the raw engine note and nice chassis as I took her places and just went for corners I would've balked at in other rides.
