Sure thing bro. Am gonna get the stripes placed once the car is waxed and polished. Hopefully by CNY la since need to let the paint cure.

Bro Eggie, looks like Christmas came early for you this year.... TIME TO PUT ON THOSE GO-FASTER ALPINA STRIPES BRO! (as soon as the paint fully cures, of course, hahaha)!

Definitely bro! Nothing beats the feeling of waiting for postman/courierman to arrive bearing parcels or envelopes for me, especially when I just got off ebay!

Visited Optimum on Tuesday noon, trying to get my bonnet aligned. Was told by Ah Fai that the bonnet cannot be aligned cos one of the screws underneath the bonnet is out, hence it cannot be slammed shut completely.

Dang la, means each time after I drive, I would need to push the bonnet edges slightly to make the gap look smaller instead of popping out so abruptly. Need to get that rectified soon.

hmmmmm..no worries eggie....the car still rocks with the Alpinaas....nize shot there:wink::top:

Haha. Thanks bro! Yep, those rims make all the difference.

Now looks even greater after washing the rims and applying a fresh coat of Meg's Endurance Shine.

Nice pic, bro - sorry, but what did Ah Fai mean that the screw on the bonnet came 'out'? Cannot screw it back in? Lucky you can still push the bonnet down flush :)

He showed me that there's another portion towards the middle of the bonnet, he said I need to get a replacement screw either from welder/body shop/half-cut and get them to screw it back it, then only can the bonnet close flush completely.

Right now it pops up a bit towards both left and right edges, so each time after I drive it, I need to get out and manually push down the bonnet a little bit so that it's not so obvious... Aiyoyo...

Will take some shots and show how it looks like now. It doesn't close perfectly along the lines of the fenders.

Haven't updated in awhile. Been quite tied up with workload for the past week or so. Managed to attend one of KC and Seech's detailing workshop last weekend during a rare day off from work, and I came back feeling really enlightened about the world of detailing. So much so that I even went ahead and bought Power Clean and Optiseal that day itself!

IMAG1949.jpg

Believe me, this stuff really works! Works well as a paint cleaner, or can be used for various other applications. Have tried it one some of the family cars, especially those which are rarely washed and have black stains, and using PowerClean, the stains were removed effortlessly! :adore: Haven't had time to take some pics of the end results, but will definitely do so in the future.

IMAG1945.jpg

So much so that I was even itching to try it out on the E36 engine bay. All the shots are only the before one, before I used PowerClean on one half. Will probably update again once I manage to use OptiSeal on it. :p
