Eggie bro, while cruising on the fast lanes of that Elite stretch, pls becareful of debris, especially areas after the stadium till the caltex station (USJ exit). Somehow, that stretch has always got alot of things flying about, (stones, sometimes small wood pieces, plastics etc) that can harm ur windscreen or paint. Seen and experieced quite a number of times already.

yes, very true.. once a car opposit me burst his tyre and crashed into the armco barier....

OMG. Serious?

But I am aware of weird accidents occurring on ELITE. Once travelling back from KLIA with my siblings, then opposite side my sister noticed a car suddenly turning turtle. And thing is, the road was quite a long stretch of straight road, so I guess probably a burst tyre then.

Will try to rein in my speeding habits along that particular stretch then. Thanks again!

Speaking of accidents, I was caught in a massive congestion around 7am this morning after KM 14 onwards south-bound. Apparently contra flow in place from somewhere after the Cyberjaya exit till the exit before Putra Heights for those heading towards USJ.

Source of problem - overturned trailer filled with white sacks occupying all 3 lanes. Even saw some of those machines involved in resurfacing roads and a crane. Guess traffic will be a nightmare for those using ELITE today. Hopefully traffic will have cleared up by evening. Congestion was epic, first time seeing ELITE at a standstill with the USJ-bound traffic stuck for miles.

As of the time I exited at Cyberjaya, the jam was already almost back-tailing till that exit.

Drive safe guys.

Came across another accident whilst I was using MEX to head home. Wanted to avoid the tailback from the ELITE accident, so decided to use MEX, halfway started drizzling so I slowed down before Bukit Jalil and just drove sedately on the middle lane. Just a KM before the Kuchai/NPE exit, suddenly saw many cars jam brake, so must be accident just happened.

Slowed down and used my hazard lights to warn cars behind me to slow down too. So, what did I see this time?

Left lane - white Merc C Class [W204], saw the front right tyre actually came out from the rims. As in, I could actually see the tyre popping out from the rims. Seems like front fender damaged. Then on the right most lane, saw an Audi R8 with trade plates parked forlornly there. Guess both cars must've been involved in the accident on the fast lane.

Scary man.

I still cannot imagine how freaky it is to see a brand new Merc with the rims exposed like that. I hope it wasn't a case of tyres bursting. :(

Noticed that my car gets even dirtier very easily ever since working in Cyberjaya. Must be the increase in distance travelled and the dusty vicinity near my office. Each time after it so much as drizzles, my car will be filled by sandy dust, which is most irritating especially when it affects both front and rear view visibility.

Anyways, sharing a few shots taken before my usual car wash regime... :p

ONR. Can't live without them! :top:

From backside, not so dirty, but once you get up close...

IMAG1362.jpg

Look at how much dust has accumulated at the rear bumper.

IMAG1363.jpg

Stains from raindrops + sand

Shot of the front wings behind the wheels, common dirt trap after every single day trip. Must be the tyre shine too. Hahaha.

nice badges on the boot there..

Thanks Mizhan. I'm aware that the badges should be lower, but err, I am worried once I remove them, I cannot stick them well again on the bootlid. :p

Eggie, any plans on slamming ur ride lower, an inch or 2 maybe?

Hey Deep, no plans for the time being... Still happy with the stock standard ride. Of course, lower might improve cornering stability, but I rarely push her that hard into corners.

Hehe. Will take that into consideration. Maybe after getting the front lip?

A couple of beading shots from last week:

The beading isn't as superb as previously. Haven't clayed and waxed the car for quite some time already [>1 year]. I think I need to give her some much-needed TLC.

Agreed guys... SO far unsuccessful with my hunt for a replacement moulding. Previously bought some clips for the brackets, but end up cannot be used on the strips...

Last resort, planning to get mechanic to use some heavy duty industrial glue to put the strips back in place.

Anybody else able to assist with the door moulding? Tried searching in vain via ebay but no stock, and also Hakitrade doesn't have E32 doors anymore for some strange reason...

And agreed la, feel painful to see the car somewhat naked with the missing door moulding. :p

Bro, there's a breaker yard next to VW showroom in TTDI that stock up BMW parts. They may have some.

Also, if you can give me the parts code number, I'll check with my contact in Munich.... but be prepared to pay for freight lor....

Hi Andrew,

If not mistaken the part number ought to be 51 13 1 969 203.

Appreciate your help!

Wokay.. have asked my German friend to look for the part. FYI, it'll be used from a breaker yard.

Will let you know the cost and shipping when I get it.

Bro Eggie

Maybe you can check out Singapore Eng Soon.
They should have the parts. Just ring them and give them your VIN.

Or maybe San Hin at Sg Besi.
They have a set of 17 inch Alpina wheels for sale on mudah
maybe they brought in the half cut and you can have a full body kitted Alpina E32!
