How can u use that hammer la.. Use a soft blunt mallet la.. Hehe but nonetheless, the car looks good. I think the problem of the cap cant go in with the new seals is because of the lock latch tolerance is too small. Need to use a plier to ply it open a bit more.

Hehehe..Eggie, after all ur struggling with those darn caps, they still look good bro :)

Hey, I didn't knock on the caps themselves cos I know how fragile they are. Only used them to know the rubber seals, in the hopes of making it a bit flatter to fit into the gap.

Haha, oh, I didn't know that the lock latch can be adjusted. :p Aiya, might have saved me the hassle had I consulted you earlier bro. My thumbs still aching from the incident... :p

Btw, I actually used my feet to slowly kick the final cap to fit. :vroam:

Thanks buddy!!

Haha, what caption bro? :4:

Would've loved to join the convoy to Kluang. Greg said will probably take it easy, but knowing him... Kekeke. Highly unlikely la...

Somemore yours got manual tranny, dare not slow you down anymore.

Updates for today:

Since it was a Saturday to stay home, no thanks to the roadblocks and all in town, I took the chance to pop down an accessories shop nearby to fit the BMWCM plate holders, and was itching for a new look to the fonts. Didn't really want to fall foul of the authorities, since my car is out & running about most of the time, so I'd rather not face the hassle of being hailed at blocks and all. Decided to go for a more conservative look, but a bit smaller than the previous ones... Enjoy the pics guys!

Dismantling the plates.

New ones fitted. Looking good!

Still trying to get used to the font though. Not really keen on the font. Want something similar to the font used on the other ride below:

Rear plates about to go on... Took the opportunity to wipe the dirt away. This is when a bottle of ONR comes in handy!

Fitted. Looking better than the previous ones admittedly.

Forgotten to add a parting shot:

Out with the old, in with the new. A bit of a symbolic gesture and somewhat ironic when I saw the rubbish bin there...

Another post purely for the aesthetic shots of the wheels. Since Deep requested for some 'far' shots, I took some la to kill some time whilst the plates were being fitted. Deep, I know maybe not as far as you wanted la, but my phone camera sucks. Hahaha. :24:

Those Alpinas are really starting to grow on me.

And maybe it's just me, but I kinda dig the way the spokes actually give some peekaboo effect on the brake discs...

No luck bro. Actually Meen asked me to check with Innerpower to check whether they can source those Taiwanese made strips, but I'm not familiar with them.

Haki also no stock as checked by Meen...

The picture is nice except for the garbage..hehe no offense eggie..alpinas start to make me drool bro..will look for a set when my skinny wallet permits.. kekeke

Haha, yeah. Garbage shot. :p

Come down the Alpina route la. Haven't seen an E39 here with Alpinas on though.

Car looking great eggie, more mods to come?? Hehe

Haha, no significant outlay planned for the time being.

But will probably get the door strip fixed, and replace the bonnet struts with new ones. My bonnet's alignment is a wee bit out at the moment.

Lookin good, Eggie.. the 16" must be damn comfy....

Now for a new coat of paint.... want some suggestions? heh heh heh....
