Hi you all   :thrasher: Sold my Honda Accord 2002 vtec for this BMW 528i (99/01). Love the car!I am just curious because my 528 does not have any bodykit at all. It has passed the diagnostic scanner test at a BMW specialist place which is why I bought the car in the first place. Could someone tell me which part of a 528i should I pay more attention to or which area of a 528i is likely to wear out over the years?Which tyres are the most recommended to replace my near balding tyres? Where could I get a suitable DVD or CD player for this 528i? This car only has a cassette player and a radio that keep losing the stations too often.:55:

Got my e39 in May and so far it has been good to me ;)

the first thing i do hen i got my car is to chang all the oil, you name it.

also water piping as this is one of the most critical as well. Furhter down the road, I have also change my undercarriage parts, as part of my preventive maintanance.

Parts are cheap in Singapore and if you have a chance, you may also, like me, do a lot of preventive maintance ;)

Should think that yours is the M52B28(TU), if u've read the reviews in the BMW Car Magazine especially the issue where they have a spread on how to buy an E39, honestly nothing much to fret about.. Just the normal wear n tear and the usual keep to the servicing schedule.

On your thought to change the dvd. Bear in mind, if you change this you will lose out the OBC facility in the centre dash (if yours the CBU model).

Another way to do it is to source for BMW E39 TV screen with navigation ability (costing a bomb overseas, and still unable to find it at any kedai potong locally). This will be the best as you wont lose the asthetic look of the centre dash.
Cheers
