Better still, try to buy from forrummers instead of dealers.
I am sure a few e39 are being sold here. Check it out.

Thank you X Benz. Actually i had found a '96 528i, 1 owner, CBU by Auto Bavaria. Asking RM 55k. The condition is so so but according to its 33k mileage, its suppose to be underused. Am thinking i need to spend quite a bit to touch up everything but hoping that its a good base to start and engine is genuinely underused....

However, the 2 front absorbers seems to have given way, the interior is new except the cream leather looks aged and used, the cream carpets are dirty as well, the front passenger seat is not align (tilting one side but the electric control works fine, any idea? bothers me a lot....), most rubber parts are aged, paint is still original but fade badly...

My assumptions, the owner does not use much of the car but does not take good care of the car either. OR , the mileage is simply being tampered...? Can sending the car to AB or Ingress rectify its true mileage?

Thank you.

About the mileage...like many of us here say it's too good to be true. You can do a self check to see if the mileage has been tempered before.

If it is tempered, you should see a RED DOT next to the trip counter (just after the word "KM" or "miles"). See below. Walk away if you see one!

haha...see la if the mood wants to say thanks then say lor...else smile and just walk away lor..lol

As for the seat issues, it's the bowden cable that's seasoned. It's a straight forward fix and it'll cost you around RM100 per seat. That's at Carbi Deco. Did mine there.

anyone wants mine? bimmerholic has tried it...

yes i can vouch for his car....it handles superbly and absolutely neutral in all the turns...despite running on 18s. Never have i experienced this neutral & well balanced handling + COMFORT on a 18". Not to mention his gear shifts are as silky as it can get. :top:

And of course...a custom paintjob that looks its part!

bimmerholic.. no need to work ah??

I'm currently doing research and sales so if find time, the 2nd site i log onto is BMWCM after checking my mails.

How's the 750iL coming along? All good?

Thank you for the info. Will look into it again. As far as i remember, i dont see the dot in the car mileage indicator. However, genuine or not, that car have many parts needing replacement...and when i test drove it today, it has a buzzing sound from underneath while engage in D, stationery. Am suspecting gearbox or drive shaft. Hmmm...among other things...the engine is very responsive and smooth though, does feel like pretty new...

Regards

responsive and smooth?? ask bimmerholic what is smooth all about...

why spend 55K and have to do more...

have mind at 56K and have fun LOL.. seriously. only if u are an enthusiast and not play play.. :)

Eujax, if you're really keen in that car, ask your dealer if you can bring it to a mech to have a full check-up prior to paying anything to him. If he's pessimistic about this idea, then you're better off just forgetting the whole car imo.

As for Alan's car, yes I've driven it and yes responsive & smooth it is though the mileage isn't as "low as 33K". But certainly is smooth & responsive. The pickup is there and i have to say this again...that his transmission shifts are superbly silky. I'm stressing on this one cuz on my trans, it "tells" you that it's shifting. On his, you barely notice it.

Since his car is for sale anyways, you may want to check his ride out.

Hi bimmerholic,

Yeah they allow me to take the car to Ingress only, more appropriate and fair according to them.

Alan, what model is your car? Can u pm me the details? Thanks. :)
