Track day done. Official time 2.50 still getting used to fwd. Target 2.45 bone stock still for next td. :)
Yeah definitely can achieve 2.45 timing as the Mk7 GTI's potential is great! With just good tyres, and the rest of the car stock, you can reach around 2.40 timing ;)

enkil...cannot target 2.45 la...at least 2.40...my sissy car do 2.46 leh... kekeke...

Hahahaha I think enkil is gonna target 2.40 for our next trackday. Can't wait for the next session, we can have some fun on the track ;)

Enkil, after 1 year how is the coating ? Still effective and can reduce watermarks ? Any maintenance needs to be done so far ?

just for fun...

Its been just over 2 years.. The coating is still pretty good, easy to wash. The only problem is stone chips :motz:

Finally retired the Mk7 Gti from track days. Sold it in 2017 or 2018 i think with 117k on the odo :). Just below 5 years ownership.

Best time was 2.38 and plenty of wonderful memories. Never had a problem with the car at all. Only normal visits to VW for regular service the last one 105k km.
