maintenance cost

Hi guys, Please advise on the following : Will s80 (2004 onwards) costs higher to maintain if compare to merc c180k/c200k and bmw 318i/325i ? Roughly how much i need to spend on these car annually to take good care of the car..,. i was told all these cars only need to be serviced once a year.. please advise

1st ......in term of parts ...i believe Benz and BMW is cheaper then Volvo due to d number od d cars ........

normal service charges almost d same but Benz and BMW specialist is more compared wit Volvo so u may get lower labour charges .....

Money u need to spend is all depend wat condition car u getting ....if gud condition just d normal maintenance and wear n tear .....

yeah, 20,000km then baru need to service.. as what I was told by the agent... so i am wondering would it be cheaper to maintain this facelifted s80... i tested drive the car and it is a lot bigger if compare to bwm 3series and c class.. ( i know is different class) but i still prefer the look of bmw...

since i love these 3 cars appearance, my main concern now is the maintenance cost and reliability... the lowest will be my selection... please advise

"20,000km then baru need to service"? no big deal lah! E46 already service intervals @ 25,000km - as told by BMW Dealers' SA.

25000km, is that what stated in the service/operating manual. As to my understanding, oil additives do not really withstand long service hours. As such anti oxidant, detergent and even anti wear(AW) would not really be there as the service hours exceeds 10000km to 15000km. Yes, the oil still lubricates, but does it really protects the engine?
